Section One - New ImageAccel Control Panel for PMShell

The ImageAccel Control Panel is new for Release 1.02. It provides
you with flexibility in the ImageAccel high-resolution display
through the selection of feature options that control things like
Desktop and Viewport size, Zoom and Pan hotkeys, Cursor and Icon
size, Power Save mode, and others. Use the options described below to
customize your PMShell desktop with the ImageAccel Control Panel.

In Release 1.00 and 1.01 of the ImageAccel display drivers, a mini-
control panel was available for WIN-OS2. That mini control panel is
deleted for Release 1.02, and all the Control Panel functions available
for both WIN-OS2 and PMShell are integrated into the new 1.02 ImageAccel
Control Panel for PMShell.

NOTE: Some of the features provided by this new control panel are NOT
available while a WIN-OS2 Seamless or a Command Window session has focus.

After you install Release 1.02 for the first time, the ImageAccel Control
Panel will pop-up. On some notebook pages are the buttons Default and
Undo.

These buttons affect only the settings on each page. Selecting the Default
button returns the values on that page back to the factory defaults.
Selecting the Undo button returns your previous values for that page.

Make your changes and shutdown and restart for the new settings to take
affect. Note that you'll have to restart WIN-OS2 if it was running
when you made control panel changes before they'll take affect. On
subsequent restarts, the ImageAccel Control Panel will be found in the
Minimized Icon Viewer (or minimized to desktop, if you set that option).

Beginners may want to select the default settings for each page before
closing the control panel. Note that not all changes require a
shutdown and restart. In those cases, you will not be prompted to do
so, and simply closing the control panel will make the changes take
effect.

NOTE: Selecting a logical DPI of 150 or higher may cause unusual affects
in some applications due to limitations in those applications.

The ImageAccel Control Panel works just like any other OS/2 notebook,
except that it saves your changes each time you turn a page. Note
however, that your changes may not go into affect until the shutdown
and restart is completed.

Information Notebook Page
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This page gets information from your installed ImageAccel hardware and
software to aid in troubleshooting. The following information is
displayed;

Hardware: Model, Board Type, Resolution and Monitor Code.
Display Driver: Version, Build Rev, Build Date

On this notebook page, clicking the button marked README displays this
IAREADME.TXT file in an editor window.

Display Settings Notebook Page
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a special notebook page that has two category tabs located at the
bottom left corner of the notebook (near the 'binder'). When you first
click this tab, you'll be in the General category. This category provides
settings to be used for all display environments - PMShell, WIN-OS2 and
Seamless. The settings on this page are not individually configurable
for these three display environments.

 General
 -------
  Desktop Size:
The Desktop Size option selects the virtual desktop size.
For Color systems your choices are:

   ImageAccel 1600 ImageAccel 1600/76 ImageAccel 1280/76
   1984 x 1024 1600 x 1280 1984 x 1024
   1600 x 1200 1600 x 1280
   1280 x 1024 1280 x 1024
   1024 x 768 1024 x 768

Changing the Desktop Size option does not change the appearance
   of the display.

  Viewport Size:
The Viewport Size option selects the resolution that is actually
displayed on the monitor. For example, choosing 1280 x 1024 displays
1280 pixels horizontally and 1024 scan lines vertically. For color
   systems your choices are:

   ImageAccel 1600 ImageAccel 1600/76 ImageAccel 1280/76
   1600 x 1200 1600 x 1280
   1280 x 1024 1280 x 1024
   1024 x 768 1024 x 768

   NOTE:
1600 x 1200 resolution is only supported for 76 KHz displays and
   above.
1280 x 1024 resolution is only supported for 64 KHz displays and above.

With a Viewport Size smaller than the Desktop Size, only a portion of
the full Windows desktop will display. Dragging the mouse to the edge
of the screen moves the viewport in that direction, and exposes the
   remainder of the desktop.

  Logical DPI:
The Logical DPI option selects the logical dots per inch for use by
OS/2 and OS/2 or Windows applications. ImageAccel gives you four
   options:
	96
	120 (default)
	150
	192

OS/2 and applications use the Logical DPI to determine the size of many
elements such as rulers and scaleable fonts. The larger the logical
DPI, the larger the size of these elements.

Every application uses the Logical DPI slightly differently, so, when
you change the Logical DPI, some application elements may change size,
   and some may not.

NOTE: A number of common commercially-available applications do not
operate correctly at Logical DPI's above 120 due to defects in these
applications. If problems occur, use the ImageAccel Control Panel to
change the Logical DPI to 120 or below.

  Cursor/Icon Size:
The Cursor/Icon Size option selects the size of system OS/2 and WIN-OS2
icons and cursors together (they are not individually selectable).

The system cursor/icon size is not dependent on the Logical DPI. The
   choices are:
	Standard (default)
	Large

 WIN-OS2
 -------
These settings apply to WIN-OS2 full-screen and WIN-OS2 Seamless
environments only. Where indicated Full-Screen only, that feature is
not available for Seamless WIN-OS2 or PMShell.

Full-Screen and Seamless Windows System Font:
Select from three choices;
	Standard (default)
	Large
	Extra-Large

Full-Screen Windows only Cursor Color:
Allows you to select the color of the Full-Screen WIN-OS2 cursor.
This option allows you to select the color which is most comfortable
or noticeable for you.  The choices are;

	Black White
	Dark Red Light Red
	Dark Green Light Green
	Dark Yellow Light Yellow (default)
	Dark Blue Light Blue
	Dark Magenta Light Magenta
	Dark Cyan Light Cyan
	Dark Gray Light Gray

NOTE: The WIN-OS2 seamless cursor color is white. The PMShell
cursor color is black. These cursor colors are not changeable to any
other color. This is an OS/2 limitation.

Full-Screen Windows only ImageAccel Enhanced System Palette:
This provides the enhanced ImageAccel palette including access to the
16 hardware gray shades needed for document imaging. This is the
    default setting.

Full-Screen Windows only Compatible System Palette:
Use this option for better palette compatibility when using photo
editing applications like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
This setting is not recommended for Document Imaging applications.

Power Save Notebook Page
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Enable the power save feature:
Selecting this feature on supported displays will put the display system
into power-save mode after the selected time has elapsed with no
keyboard or mouse activity. This feature is grayed out if you're
installed on a system that does not support it (Except for grayscale
displays - look for Energy Star logo on back of display). The default
   setting is disabled.

Zoom and Pan Notebook Page
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Select Hot Keys:
The ability to Zoom in on an image is important for any application that
requires manipulation or analysis of highly detailed images. For
example, signature verification on scanned document images, or detailed
pixel editing for graphics applications benefit from zooming
  capabilities.

ImageAccel's zoom features allow you to zoom in to any of the available
zoom levels and back again with a single hot key. These hardware
assisted zoom features work in combination with any software zooms
  provided by your application.

The Select Hot Keys notebook page configures user-definable keys for
ImageAccel's Zooming and Panning features. The default for each Hot Key
is Disabled. Select the Enable option to activate each Hot Key. You
may use the pre-defined keys, or choose to define your own key sequences.

 Zoom In:
Each time you press the Zoom In Hot Key, the screen enlarges the image by
one step. At each level the screen blanks then positions itself so that
the cursor is approximately in the center of the zoomed display area.
The table below shows the zooming resolutions available through the Zoom
  In Hot Key for Color displays;

   ImageAccel 1600 ImageAccel 1600/76 ImageAccel 1280/76
   1600 x 1200 800 x 600 1600 x 1280
   1280 x 1024 640 x 512 1280 x 1024
   1024 x 768 640 x 512 1024 x 768
   800 x 600 512 x 384
   640 x 512 400 x 300
   512 x 384
   400 x 300

 Zoom Out:
Each time you press the Zoom Out Hot Key, the screen shrinks the image by
one step. At each level the screen blanks then positions itself so that
the cursor is approximately in the center of the display screen. The
table above shows the zooming resolutions available through the Zoom In
  and Zoom Out Hot Keys.

NOTE: You cannot zoom out to a resolution greater than the Desktop Size
as declared on the ImageAccel Control Panel.

 Zoom Restore:
Pressing the Zoom Restore Hot Key while in a zoomed mode restores the
display to the selected viewport size as defined in the ImageAccel
Control Panel. Pressing the Zoom Restore Hot Key again returns you to
  the previously viewed zoom level.

 Pan Lock:
Pressing the Pan Lock Hot Key locks the Viewport at the current position
on the Windows Desktop. When locked, moving the mouse to the edge of
the screen does not move the Viewport. Pressing the Pan Lock Hot
Key again unlocks the Viewport and allows panning around the Windows
  Desktop.

NOTE: See Section 3 for more information on the ImageAccel Control Panel.

 	Generic Settings:
The generic settings choices are renamed for this release. These
choices now show the resolution by REFRESH rate of the display,
instead of the horizontal scanning frequency. This is to make it
easier for you to match the appropriate display timing for your
     non-Cornerstone display.

     NOTE:
We also removed the Cornerstone DualPage 120 Color choice. For that
     display, please use the generic choice that reads;
           'ImageAccel 1600x1200 at 64Hz'.

and configures the PMShell, WIN-OS/2 and SEAMLESS
drivers for both Color and Grayscale display
systems - no other drivers are needed.

* NOTE: IBM COMPUTERS with an XGA daughter card (like the
IBM Model 77 with the Microchannel Bus) REQUIRE A
SPECIAL VGA TERMINATOR ATTACHED TO THE XGA
	    VIDEO PORT ON BOOT-TIME FOR OS/2 2.1
FULL SCREEN MODE. SEE SECTION 10 - IBM Model
	    77 Microchannel Configuration for more.

13 Energy Star Page will NOT appear in Control Panel if the Controller
does NOT support Energy Star.

14 There is a new installation message when initializing WIN-OS/2 for the
first time.

15 There is a new message in Control Panel for WIN-OS/2 environment -
When you click on the ImageAccel icon in WIN-OS/2, a message appears
indicating that it is active and to return to the OS/2 Control Panel
to change any settings. (Settings are not changeable in WIN-OS/2).

16 Clicking the System + Close control on the IA OS/2 Control Panel minimizes
Control Panel, instead of actually closing it. This is to prevent
people from inadvertently ending the control panel, required for Zoom Keys.

17 The DEFAULT setting for all Pan and Zoom HOTKEYS is - DISABLED.

Patches that fix Problems in the 1.02 GA
-------------------------------------
There are two patch files on the 1.02 diskette 1, IA_SEAM.NEW and
CTIIAD32.NEW. The first file patches the WIN-OS/2 Seamless driver, and
the second patches the PMShell display driver. These patches will be
integrated and fully tested with the Release 1.03, in the spring of 1995.

Until then, you may choose to add these files to your installation (they
are not installed automatically). Both of these files are stored on
Release 1.02 diskette 1, in packed format.

To use these files;

1. First boot to the OS/2 Command Prompt (in Config.sys, make the entry
PROTSHELL=C:\OS2\CMD.EXE).

2. For the Seamless patch type;
    a. Copy A:\IA_SEAM.NE@ C:\OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM
    b.   Type 'unpack IA_SEAM.NE@'  This creates the unpacked file;
         IA_SEAM.NEW
    c.   In the same directory, rename file;
           ren IA_SEAM.DRV IA_SEAM.102
    d.   In the same directory, copy file;
           copy IA_SEAM.NEW IA_SEAM.DRV
    e. Type PMShell, and run Seamless Windows.

3.  For PMShell patch type;
    a. Copy A:\CTIIAD32.NE@ C:\OS2\DLL

Section Seven - Known Problems with ImageAccel Hardware

For PC168Ci and PC128Ci Color controllers with revision -006A
or lower:

1. IBM 6091 fixed frequency Displays are not supported as a boot display.

2. Jumper 8, Default Boot Screen, is not functional.

For MC168Ci and MC128Ci Color controllers with revision -003A or lower:

3. IBM 6091 fixed frequency Displays are not supported as a boot display.

4. ROM Shadowing. If your CMOS or Flash EEPROM settings have
ROM Shadowing enabled in the same space that ImageAccel is
using (default DE000 - DFFFF), then unpredictable results may
occur. We recommend disabling ROM Shadowing in ImageAccel's
memory space if this is causing problems in your system.

5. BUG525 - Checkit's Colors Are Not Correct in some modes.
This is an ImageAccel limitation.

Section Eight - Hardware Installation

Installation Notes:
Before installing the ImageAccel controller, disable the VGA
on your computer's motherboard if it does not disable
automatically when it detects a VGA card. Remove your add-in
VGA card if you have one, or disable ImageAccel's on-board VGA
by removing jumper V to use another VGA source.

* NOTE: Refer to Section 10 - IBM Model 77 Microchannel
	   Configuration for instructions for configuring
ImageAccel with an IBM PS-2 Model 77 or any IBM
PS-2 machine with XGA on a daughter card.

* NOTE: For IBM PS-1 Valuepoint computers (Model 425SX/S)
you must disable the motherboard (S)VGA. To do
this, remove jumper 17 on the IBM's motherboard.
(IBM informed us that some Valuepoint motherboards
silk-screen show this as jumper 13, even though the
labels and other documentation show it to be J17).

It is essential that ImageAccel not conflict with either the
memory or I/O addresses of any other controller in your system.
Your ImageAccel controller has been pre-configured for memory
addresses DE00-DFFF and I/O addresses 3B0/3B1. If you need to
change these defaults, change the jumpers as described in the
User's Guide.

IMPORTANT: ADDRESS B600-B7FF:
Do not use address range B600-B7FF unless all other selections
create a conflict, as this range inhibits normal operation.

B600 address shouldn't be used because it lies between
A000-C000 (VGA address space). In any system that doesn't
have the VGA board embedded, ImageAccel will work but will
have problem when VGA mode 13 is used. This will conflict even
with our own VGA.

In a system with the VGA onboard such as DELL, AST...etc.,
when you "disable" the onboard VGA, it is NOT 100% DISABLED
and will still cause problems.

The symptoms are;
o PMShell or WIN-OS/2won't start or return to DOS, OS/2 hangs.
o Both VGA or ImageAccel comes up with a blank screen.

Hardware Installation Procedure
-------------------------------
1. Turn OFF and disconnect the computer from the power source.

2. Remove the cover from your computer.

3. Verify the jumper settings. The factory default settings have
been chosen to work with most system configurations. If you need
to change these defaults, please refer to the Jumper Configuration
section at the end of Chapter 3, Hardware Installation, of the
ImageAccel Installation Guide.

For PC/AT systems the default configuration is:
   I/O address: 3B0 - 3B1
   Memory space:	DE000 - DFFFF
Display type: DualPage 120 (DualPage 120i controller)
      DualPage 150 (DualPage 150i controller)
      Autosync (Color controllers only)
   Boot to: High Resolution display
   On-board VGA:	Enabled

For Microchannel systems the default configuration is:
Display type: DualPage 120 (DualPage 120i controller)
      DualPage 150	(DualPage 150i controller)
      Autosync (Color controllers only)

4. Install the Display Controller in a 16-bit expansion
slot, or the Video Adapter Slot for Microchannel systems.

5. Using the video cable supplied with your system, connect
the 15-pin connector to the High Resolution connector on the
installed Display Controller. For PC/AT bus controllers
this is the UPPER connector.

* NOTE: For proper operation of PC/AT bus controllers, the
high resolution display MUST be connected to the
UPPER connector on the ImageAccel controller.

6. Connect the other end of the video cable to the display.

For Color controllers only: Connect the five BNC connectors at
the other end of the video cable to the back of the display
as follows:

 Cable Color Display Connector

 red R
 blue B
 green G
refer to marking on cable	H
refer to marking on cable	V

* NOTE: To ensure high resolution display quality,
ImageAccel requires that you use the 15-pin to 5 BNC video cable
supplied with the color controller.

7. Connect the power to the display and the computer and
power both units ON.

For Microchannel systems:
The system error 165 will appear on the display. When prompted
for the Reference disk, Insert OS/2 2.1 Display Driver for ImageAccel
disk one (it contains the file @80A6.ADF) to re-configure your
Microchannel system for ImageAccel.

Section Ten - IBM Model Microchannel Configuration

ImageAccel Microchannel display adapters include a VGA Terminator
and an IBM PS/2-XGA BOOT DISK for ImageAccel that are required
to get ImageAccel running without using a separate XGA or
multisync display.

The IBM Boot disk for ImageAccel is used ONCE, to get the
Model 77 to recognize and boot ImageAccel. The VGA Terminator
is required at BOOT TIME, to change the XGA adapter into VGA
mode, so ImageAccel can run OS/2 properly.

CAUTION: You must leave the VGA Terminator attached to the XGA
display port at BOOT TIME. If you don't, then PMShell full
screen prompts will paint your screen black (type ALT + HOME
to remedy this temporarily, changing the Full screen mode to
a Prompt window).

IBM Model 77 Setup
-------------------
NOTE: Leave the XGA card in the proprietary IBM primary video slot.

Step 1: Install the ImageAccel Display adapter into the IBM
	PS/2 Microchannel video slot (2).

* NOTE: If you add or remove any other adapter cards to your
system, you have to keep the VGA Terminator
installed on the XGA card, and boot using the boot
disk to re-run the configuration program again.

Step 2: Put the diskette labeled "IBM PS/2-XGA BOOT DISK for
ImageAccel" into the A: drive. (Contact Cornerstone
Technical Support for information on obtaining this
	diskette).

Step 3: Place the VGA Terminator (3012682-002) onto the XGA
display adapter port. (Contact Cornerstone Technical
Support for information on obtaining the VGA Terminator).

Step 4: Boot the PC with the IBM PS-2 Boot disk for ImageAccel
and VGA TERMINATOR installed. (Note: The Boot disk is
not a DOS diskette - its not readable by DOS).

Follow all the prompts for Automatic Configuration.
Remove the IBM PS-2 Boot diskette and re-boot.

The system error 165 will appear on the display. When
prompted for the Reference disk, Insert OS/2 2.1 Display
Driver for ImageAccel disk A: (it contains the file
@80A6.ADF) to re-configure your Microchannel system for
	ImageAccel.

Follow the Automatic Configuration instructions and
	the PC will reboot.

* NOTE: Once the Microchannel system has read the ImageAccel
setup file (@80A6.ADF), you may remove and add other
	   ImageAccel boards without running Automatic
Configuration again. The @80A6.ADF file works
for all ImageAccel display adapter boards.

Now your system is ready for you to follow steps in Section 11.

			              *  *  *

Section Eleven - Installing OS/2 2.1 Display Driver for ImageAccel

This procedure assumes that you have OS/2 2.1 installed on your
system, running in VGA mode on the ImageAccel display system.

If you install OS/2 on ImageAccel using the XGA driver supplied
with OS/2 2.1, no cursor will appear on the ImageAccel display.

Follow IBM's instructions for installing OS/2 2.1 to VGA before
attempting the steps below.

1. We STRONGLY recommend that you edit CONFIG.SYS so that OS/2
boots directly to the command line prompt:

	  PROTSHELL=C:\OS2\CMD.EXE

This allows for recovery back to VGA (SVGA or XGA) when
    necessary.

NOTE: If you keep a backup of your system, AND you've
successfully installed the ImageAccel high resolution drivers,
it's safe to restore booting to PMShell.

2. We also STRONGLY recommend you set your restart option. Add
the following line in your CONFIG.SYS before the line that
    reads "SET AUTOSTART = ...."

	  SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY;

Type PMShell to start Presentation Manager.

3. After you verified PMShell runs in VGA/XGA, we STRONGLY
recommend you completely back-up your VGA (SVGA,XGA)
configuration BEFORE installing ImageAccel high resolution
display drivers. This will allow you to return to VGA/XGA
without losing the current desktop. The following steps
will preserve the current VGA settings.

Install OS/2 and all applications, including and Windows
    applications.

    Make a backup copy of the following files;

	OS2\OS2.INI
	OS2\OS2SYS.INI
	OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI
	OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI

    At the command prompt, type

	copy OS2\*.INI *.VGA
	copy OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI WIN.VGA
	copy OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI SYSTEM.VGA

Your system is now prepared to install OS/2 2.1 display drivers
for ImageAccel.

ImageAccel's OS/2 2.1 High Resolution Driver Installation
---------------------------------------------------------

* NOTE: If you have any difficulty with this installation of
the OS/2 2.1 Display Driver, run the DSPINSTL.EXE
program again and choose the VGA Display Driver. If
you have the same or similar problems installing
OS/2 2.1 for VGA, contact IBM for installation
	    support.

 1. Run PMShell (VGA mode) and then insert the OS/2 2.1 Display
Driver for ImageAccel disk 1 in drive A:.

 2. Log on the A: drive: (or double-click on the A: drive
     Icon in PMShell).

 3. From Drive A:, type DSPINSTL.EXE and press [ENTER]

 4. Select Primary Display, then Click the OK button.

 5. Select your display type from the list, then Click the
     OK button.

 6. Select the display resolution from the list, then Click the
     OK button.

 7. Insert ImageAccel driver diskette #2 when prompted.

 6. The Display Driver Install dialog box will reappear.
     Click on Cancel.

 8. Remove the diskette from drive A: and shut down then cold
     boot your system.

* NOTE: The first time you boot the PMShell desktop,
ImageAccel drivers builds a large data file, setting
up the parameters for your display. For 486
machines, this process may take up to two minutes.
For 386 machines, this start up mode takes longer.

No disk activity will occur during this process.
Subsequent starts will be much quicker.

 9. After you have installed the ImageAccel high resolution
display drivers, and you've run PMShell to verify that the
install completed successfully, we strongly recommend that
you make a back-up copy of your ImageAccel settings by
    preserving the following files;

This will allow you to return to ImageAccel without losing
the current desktop. The following steps will preserve the
    current ImageAccel settings.

    Make a backup copy of the following files;

	OS2\OS2.INI
	OS2\OS2SYS.INI
	OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI
	OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI

    At the command prompt, type

	copy OS2\*.INI *.IA
	copy OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\WIN.INI WIN.IA
	copy OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM.INI SYSTEM.IA

			              *  *  *

Section Twelve - Installing OS/2 3.0 Personal WARP with ImageAccel

Release 1.02 provides Personal WARP display drivers for WARP's PMShell,
and WIN-OS/2 Seamless. Since Personal WARP requires native Microsoft
Windows 3.1, you must use ImageAccel's native Windows 3.1 drivers for that.

The recommended procedure follows. Note: Like all OS/2 installations, it's
important to get EVERYTHING - mouse, SCSI, hard drives, etc. - working in VGA
before attempting to install the IA high-resolution driver.

NOTE: Personal WARP does not include Windows. To get Windows, you must
install native Microsoft Windows 3.1 BEFORE installing WARP. (We do not yet
have a procedure for installing WARP followed by Win 3.1). Windows for
Workgroups seems to work just as well as Windows 3.1.

RECOMMEND STEPS to Install WARP
-------------------------------
1. Install DOS

2. Install Microsoft Windows 3.1 to VGA. Get all devices running in VGA.

3. Run ImageAccel's NATIVE Windows 3.1 Setup program from Release 1.05.
Test Native Windows 3.1 before installing WARP to be sure everything
is running normally.

4. Install OS/2 3.0 Personal WARP. Get all devices running in VGA.
NOTE: Warp seems to have problems supporting (recognizing) some
third party devices. If you cannot get your device working in VGA, it
will not run in ImageAccel either (trackballs, large hard-drives, odd
network cards, etc.). These are WARP limitations.

5. From the OS/2 Release 1.02 for ImageAccel, run our DSPINSTL program
from your floppy diskette. When complete, shutdown and restart. When
you reboot, you should come up to high-resolution in WARP. However,
Windows will not yet be configured.

6. Execute the following command from a command prompt;

XCOPY \OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM\*.* \WINDOWS\SYSTEM

NOTE: If it is different, you must substitute the actual name of the
directory where you installed Microsoft's Windows.

(We do not yet have a way of detecting where the user installed Windows
3.1, so this step is manual. We are looking at ways to make this step
better for 1.02, however, we will not delay 1.02 for that.)

7. Shutdown and reboot.

You should now have FULL driver support for WARP. The WARP install
program writes two special entries to the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SYSTEM.INI file
to support Full-screen and Seamless Windows from WARP.  They are;

	SYSTEM.INI
	[BOOT]
	sdisplay=IA_SEAM.DRV
	fdisplay=IA.DRV

If your entries don't match these, then Win 3.1 will not work correctly
under WARP. If the files that these entries are pointing to are not
in the right place, then it won't work (Step 6 does that).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
KNOWN PROBLEMS

1. Clipboard
The Clipboard functions work differently in Personal WARP than in OS/2 2.1x.

You can CUT/COPY/PASTE text or graphics from a full-screen program to another
full-screen program, or from a seamless program to another seamless program,
or from a PMShell program to another PMShell program. The WARP clipboard is
separated for each session. You cannot clipboard copy from say, full-screen
to seamless, or even Full screen to PMShell.

In OS/2 2.11, you can CUT/COPY/PASTE from Seamless to PMShell, or from
Fullscreen to Seamless, and vice-versa, etc.

This may be a WARP limitation - we'll investigate.

2. ImageAccel Control Panels
With OS.2 2.1x, our OS/2 control panel for ImageAccel controls BOTH WIN-OS/2
settings, plus the PMShell settings. Because WIN-OS/2 does not exist in
WARP, our PM control panel automatically disallows changes to the full
screen Windows side, and will only manage the PM and Seamless settings.
(NOTE: setting a large ICON for PM will give Large Icons in Seamless but
not in full-screen).

Because the native Windows 3.1 driver is actually fully installed, including
our Win 3.1 IA control panel, it will control the full-screen session only.
If you want the PM/Seamless settings to match to the full-screen Windows,
you have to make the same settings in both control panels.

It's possible to get things out-of alignment, if for example you set large
system font for PM/Seamless and small fonts for Full-Screen Windows. We
recommend you make settings match for both environments, or strange
results may occur.

3. Scale-To-Gray
Scale-to-Gray is supported in EXACTLY the same manner as in OS/2 2.1x.
I.E.:

Section Thirteen - Installation of ImageAccel Displays in a CID Environment

At the time of this Release, CID installation instructions for 1.02
had not been finalized. Therefore, no instructions are yet available
for installing ImageAccel Release 1.02 into a CID environment.

Please use the Release 1.01 display drivers for installing ImageAccel
into a CID environment. The instructions for that are in the Release
1.01 IAREADME.TXT file included with that release.

Call Cornerstone Tech Support at the numbers listed below for up to date
information on CID support for Release 1.02.

Section Fourteen - Tips and Troubleshooting

1. VGA Restore / ImageAccel Quick Reinstallation Procedure

NOTE: This process may not preserve ALL of your Desktop settings.
See Section 11, above, or the ImageAccel Installation Guide for
details on ensuring all your Desktop settings are preserved.

If it becomes necessary to reinstall ImageAccel, or you need to
restore VGA quickly, use the following process (NOTE: Be sure
to type the following EXACTLY, or you may damage your OS/2
installation).

1. Change to the \OS2\DLL directory
2. Type 'Del CTI*.* CAUTION: entering the wrong keys here
can kill OS/2, forcing a reinstallation of OS/2.
3. Change to the \OS2\IMAGACCL directory
4. Type Del *.* CAUTION: entering the wrong keys here
can kill OS/2, forcing a reinstallation of OS/2.
5. Shutdown OS/2 and reboot. Run PMShell

Your OS/2 2.1 system will come up in VGA mode.

2. WIN-OS/2 Program Installation

It is usually safest to install Windows 3.x programs in VGA mode.
(then switch back to the ImageAccel high resolution drivers once
you've verified the Windows program is running in VGA mode).

When installing Windows applications under WIN-OS2, ALWAYS respond
NO to updates for your CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT entries.

3. WordPerfect Print Preview

You have to setup WordPerfect to use the VGA driver for the Print
Preview to work in OS/2. This will not change the PMShell driver
settings.

	1. In OS/2 Full screen, type WP <filename>
	2. Press Shift-F1 keys to get the setup screen
	3. Select 3 for display
	4. Select 5 for graphics screen type
	5. Select IBM 640x480, 16 colors

4. Lotus 1-2-3 - Setting up Expanded Memory for very large
spreadsheets

Setting up very large spreadsheet EXPANDED MEMORY space causes
memory error messages. To prevent this you must EXCLUDE the
ImageAccel memory space. Refer to page 308 in the booklet
"OS/2 2.1 - Using the Operating System".

ImageAccel default memory space is DE000-DFFF. You must exclude
this space when assigning extra expanded memory for Lotus 1-2-3.
All versions of Lotus 1-2-3 use expanded memory and look in the
C000-CFFF range to find it.

If you set ImageAccel to CE000-CFFF, this is a direct conflict
with Lotus 1-2-3.  The recommended DOS settings are;

EMS_MEMORY_LIMIT 12
MEMORY_INCLUDE_REGIONS C0000-CFFFF
MEMORY_EXCLUDE_REGIONS D0000-DFFFF (ImageAccel
default)
