Test Objectives:  Test/Course # N1947, VisualAge for Smalltalk
                  Prototyping Practicum

Individuals who successfully complete the VisualAge for Smalltalk
Prototyping Practicum will have participated as a productive member
of a team and will have demonstrated skills in:

1. Validating customer project requirements, scoping prototype
   functionality, and documenting these in a Statement of Work.
2. Identifying and developing "use cases" and consolidating them into
   a use case model.
3. Applying a variety of analysis techniques to derive an object model
   for a given business domain.
4. Designing components that have well-defined interfaces and fit into
   a layered architecture.
5. Implementing the prototype using VisualAge and IBM Smalltalk.
6. Managing a rapid prototyping project, including building a project
   plan, defining and allocating tasks, and delivering a functional
   prototype that fulfills the commitments in the Statement of Work.
7. Maintaining and actively exercising all channels of communication
   with both the customer and the team:

   - providing evaluation and feedback to other team members
   - identifying the strengths and weaknesses of team members
   - active listening
   - questioning techniques
   - setting team goals and schedules
   - studying dependencies and gating factors to reaching goals and
     schedules
   - clearly discussing developmental goals/assignments
   - participate in skills transfer among team members
