This program checks URL's (ensures they exist and haven't moved etc):

   * In HTML pages

   * Using supplied lists of URLS

   * In Windows IE or Netscape Internet Shortcuts.

   * In OS/2 Netscape WPS URL objects

   * In text files (it will do it's best to extract)

To execute this program under Windows 95,98 or NT or 2000 you need to
use the free "regina" rexx interpreter, see:

CONTENTS
~~~~~~~~

   CU_?????.ZIP - This contains the actual CHECKURL program and
                  documentation. The name of the file changes to
                  reflect the version number. The documentation is
                  in:

                       checkurl.htm

                  Note OS/2 users MUST rename "checkurl.rex" to
                  "checkurl.cmd".

   W32RXSCK.ZIP - Not required for OS/2.  Windows users will need to
                  unzip. These DLLs must either be in the current
                  directory when this program is used or in the
                  windows directory.


DISTRIBUTION

This archive may be freely distributed (but not sold) in full.  Files
must not be removed from the distibuted zip files and the zip file
comments must not be removed.
