MMOUG December Minutes
December 20, 1995
Phillip Wilson's House

The minutes for the December meeting are sparse. It was our annual Christmas party,
and I don't believe anyone bothered to write minutes. The Christmas party was
a little different this year. In previous years, we have held it in motels in
Columbia and Jefferson City. In order to conserve funds, this year it was held
at Phillip and Michelle Wilson's. I think it was just as successful as the previous
years.

Perhaps the highlight was seeing Phillip! I think the last time he was at a meeting
was at last year's Christmas party. He claims that he will try to schedule the
time to make more meetings this year. A good New Year's resolution.

As always, there were giveaways. This year, I believe there was enough booty that
no one walked away empty handed.

No attendence was taken, but the turnout was better than some of the last few
meetings.

Next month's meeting will be held at Department of Social Services, 1621 E. Elm,
Jefferson City. The speaker from Pinnacle will be present at this meeting.

Information Officer Input/Output

You may notice that this month's newsletter is very short. There are a couple of
reasons for this. Obviously the holiday season is a busy time, leaving me with
less to spend with the newsletter. That's the minor reason.

Here's the primary one. I love to be in plays. I was going to be in the Capital
City Player's production of :hp1.George M.:ehp1. in January. At the second dance
practice I must have pulled something, and I have been lame for over a month.

So I'm not going to be in the play now. That's the excuse you were expecting,
right? That the play took up too much time? The unvarnished truth is -- I've had
so much disomfort with my back and leg that I just don't feel like working on it.
So cut my pay!

OK, OK. Let me make up another... er, give another reason. I usually like to
peel interesting things off of on-line communications, but it too, has been
awfully quiet, probably because of othere seasonal activities.

I did want to get something out, however, since (for the first time in a long
while) we are going to have a representative from a a company coming in, and I
would like to see a good turn out. Pinnacle, by the way, is the company that
makes Desktop Observatory, Desktop Commander and KidProof/2.

Humor

Here's an exchange I saw on-line that tickled my funny bone. The names have
been ommitted to protect the innocent:
