The IBM AnyNet IPX over SNA Gateway product is an OS/2-based
member of the AnyNet product family that enables Novell(**) NetWare(**)
Internet Packet Exchange communication from one local area network
(LAN) to another over an existing wide area network (WAN).

The gateway can be configured to provide one of four levels of
connection support (20, 100, 250, or 500 workstations). Once
configured, the gateway can be resized to support a greater number
of workstations as needed.

As of December 31, 1994 the following AnyNet products
                use the ANYNETPATH environment variable:

If you attempt to install multiple AnyNet products
that use the ANYNETPATH environment variable

To install the program documentation on a workstation:

  1. Insert Diskette 1 in your A: drive. On an OS/2 command
      line, enter the following command:

          a:\install

  2. The "AnyNet Installation" and "Installation and Maintenance"
      windows are displayed.

  3. Select "AnyNet Workstation Setup" in the "Installation and
      Maintenance" window.

  4. Select "Action" on the menu bar and click on the "Install..."
option. The "Install" window is displayed.

  5. If you do not want the installation utility to automatically
update your CONFIG.SYS file, remove the check mark from
      "Update CONFIG.SYS" option.

If you deselect this option, any changes that should be made
to the CONFIG.SYS file are placed in the CONFIG.ADD file. You
must manually make the changes to CONFIG.SYS.

  6. Optionally, check the "Overwrite files" option. If you do
not select this option, the installation utility prompts you
if it needs to overwrite an existing file with the same name
      on your system.

  7. Click on the "OK" button to continue the installation. The
"Install - directories" window is displayed.

  8. Select "IPX over SNA Gateway for OS/2 Online Documentation".

  9. Either accept the default directory or type another directory
in the space provided. Use the "Disk Space" button to determine
whether there is adequate space on your hard drive to continue
     the installation.

 10. Click on the "Install..." button at the bottom of the window to
start the installation. The "Install Progress" window is displayed
and shows the status of the installation. To cancel the
installation, click on the "Stop" button.

 11. When the installation is complete, exit the installation utility
by pressing F3 twice or by closing the installation program
     windows.

USING BOOKMANAGER READ/2 TO VIEW THE SOFTCOPY DOCUMENTATION
___________________________________________________________

The install utility provides a copy of the Library Reader/2 which can
be used to view the documentation. If you already have a BookManager
Read licensed program, you should not install the Library Reader/2.
Use the AnyNet installation program to install the BookManager book;
the installation program automatically identifies to BookManager the
directories that hold the program documentation.

You can also obtain hardcopy documentation by printing the BookManager
documentation, printing the IBM-provided formatted PostScript
