Subj: Partition Magic & OS/2

Finally got Partition Magic and got BootMagic to work.

At least it works to boot Win98, but OS/2 won't boot.

Since OS/2 is on a HPFS formatted drive, Win98, and therefore PartMagic, don't
see the drive OS/2 is on as a drive, that is it is assigned no drive letter.
When OS/2 was installed, it didn't see FAT32 on C:.

OS/2 thinks it is on C:, and so does Win98. OS/2's config.sys locks up,
probably because of the drive letters are in conflict. (can't find files for
C:\OS2\...)

What do I need to do?

Should OS/2 be on a FAT16 drive for Win98 to see? Do I need to reinstall OS/2
as being on D:? Would PM's "Drive Mapper" help?

What drive does OS/2 think it is installed in? Look in OS/2's
CONFIG.SYS file for SET OS2_SHELL= and look at the path afterwards. If
you have changed the drives around such that OS/2 thinks it is on D: but
now its files are on C:, you need to create a small drive so that
OS/2 sees D: as D: rather than C: or you need to reinstall OS/2.

Partition Magic should see the partition that OS/2 is on regardless of
its running on Windows 98 or not, and it shouldn't care about the
drive letters.

If both Windows and OS/2 are installed on primary partitions, then they
could both be C: since only one primary partition on a hard disk can be
visible at a time.

We need a bit more about what you had before and what you have now to
figure out what your exact problem is.
