I'm entitled to whinge and complain about every little thing that goes wrong
with OS/2 just like you are entitled to do the same for Windows.

JS>> split personality. Must be a Gemini?

I'm a scorpio. Got a problem with that?

And I don't have a split personality, there's just only a certain amount I can
take from prats like you.

That should have been my first guess:-)

Sounds like a media motto... ZIFF-DAVIS for example...

Hello,

This is a very late reply ://

FB> I am thinking of upgrading my video card and a bit more memory.
FB> I am also contemplating a switch to Linux.

The Linux operating system is as far as I know the most flexible,
powerfull and stable system for the personal computer ever maded.
 Maybe there are others ......
But due this flexibility, it is the most complex and difficult
system to give maintenance and finishing a first install. To get
what I want I must recompile the kernel and read some books about
the system. On the other hand it gives us a good inside view and
knowledge about operating systems for the profesional user.

FB> That's great !!!. Are you concentrating on Intel platforms?, Because
 FB> .........
FB> been a bit of development for these systems that for me is
 FB> fascinating.

It is a list of operating systems used for any system ever existists,
Personal computers, mini's, mainframes, proces management systems,
 and other weird systems.

FB> and don't forget Java OS...

Good hint, it isn't on the list.

FB> Well if you do please send me the URL so that I can link to it from
 FB> my Website?

When it is available on the net I let you know.

FB> write your own libraries if incase you want a bit more that the
 FB> standard

 FB> taste.

C++ is a more powerfull language to construct libs.
The problem is when you are a C programmer, it's difficult
to jump over to C++. It was my own problem.

Dirk
