Thanks a lot for the tip. I'll download it and give it a try.

First, make sure you are using the latest update to Ultimail Lite, which
should
put you at a 2.1.04 version. Then follow the instructions at:

http://baden.nu/public_html_index/UltiMail_instructions/Ultimail.html

to edit the neccessary file to increase your packet size. In the good
old days of text, under 64K was good enough. I long ago made this
change, and have had no problems getting anything someone sent.

You actually did get your mail, just broken down into tiny 26K packets,
that are never put into a usable whole, as you may be accustomed to with
other, more modern mail readers that have a larger default packet size.

If you really care to see what you were originally sent, before making these
updates, go into your 'Inbox' directory, with a text editor, and you will find

the actual content, along with alot of 'header' and 'routing' information.

I have updated the deja news reader. See the readme at
http://www.flash.net/~tomfred/dj_News.htm . The instructions for
installing are the same although I haven't updated the readme to reflect
the new changes in Off-Line mode.

This is a beta and there is a small problem that sometimes
surfaces with the socket connecting. Shutting the program down and
restarting will resume where you left off. If you notice this behavior
copy the error message and the last line at the bottom of the window.
This will help find the point that it is occuring.
