Subj: Apache 1.2.4 problem

From: Scott Vetter <svetter@ameritech.net>

I finially got Apache 1.2.4 to run on my OS/2 V4 system and so far so
good. But where can I get a newer version? Also, in the cgi-bin
directory there are two executibles called test-cgi and test-cgi.cmd.
I've tried running them from Netscape without sucess. Any ideas on
where I should look to get them running would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

I'm trying to get LDGW running from the Developer Connection CD's
running with WSEB as my ICSS keeps crapping out. I get it installed ok,
but it starts up, complains about "Server_Root" not being set, and then
finally traps out. Anyone else gotten past this?

Cheers
Mark

Subj: NS 2.02 certificate update

From: domi@kenavo.NOSPAM.fi (Dominique Pivard)

Has anyone out there managed to install the NS 2.02 root certificate
update at
ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/ps/products/netscape/fixes/ns202/ ?

I copied the new cert.db and netscape.exe on top of the old ones, but
my bank's site is still giving me a warning that my "browser's root
certificate will expire 31.12.1999".

Could anyone with an upgraded NS 2.02 tell me if they're getting the
same message? The URL is:

https://solo3.merita.fi/cgi-bin/SOLO0001?LANF=3

Any tips about the correct procedure for updating the root certificate
are welcome.

Yes, I also have 4.61 and it's working fine, but I'm still using 2.02
most of the time, because it's much faster. This is why I'd like to be
able to use it in the next millenium too.

Thanks, Dominique

From: Joao Luiz P Jr <jluiz@neocomm.com.br>

Hello everybody,
We just released the NeoComm Vector for OS/2 version GA1.00. It's a file

transfer utility that uses multicast technology in a one-to-may basis.
Ours tests showed a bandwidth saving up to 70% compared to conventional
FTP.

Subj: Re: Netscape question

From: Michael Kaply <mkaply@NOSPAMus.ibm.com>

I can tell you how to put Spanish on your English browser, regardless of
encryption.

Under NETSCAPE is a directory called LANG. For english, there is a directory
en_us. For spanish, there is a directory es_es.

If you put the es_es directory where your en_us directory is (you would have
both there), you can type netscape -l es_es and start the spanish version.

I think the easiest way to do this is to install spanish and then install
english OVER it (same directory). Don't let it uninstall when asked.

All your icons will then default to english, but if you type netscape -l
es_es you start spanish.

If this doesn't work, install Spanish then back up the es_es dir somewhere.
Then uninstall spanish, install english and put es_es back.

We run like this at work all the time. I have had all 18 languages installed
in one configuration.

Good luck.
