GMC/2 is a synonym for Grobi's (this is my nickname) Mail Converter for OS/2 for the PM.
It is shareware under public domain restrictions for private use. If you will use it for business or wish to activate the plus-package,
take a look at the end of this file (license-stuff).

GMC/2 is an OS/2 program for any webmaster, using the post method to get form input via mail.

A typical example of doing this is compuserve where a webmaster can't use cgi.

GMC/2 will change a mailmessage which is in the clipboard to readable format and write to a file for further use.

So it can used with the CIM mailsystem.

Functions:

- Will convert all special characters, exchange + to space, etc.
- May manage different output files to store messages.
- Append funktion never destroys saved messages before in output files.
- Stores the whole message with header included in the '*.min' file for logging purpose.
New! - Generates a '*.csv' file for use with db programs which includes all the variables data.
- leaves a date and time stamp at the end of every message for logging.

Use:
No install procedure is needed. You can copy the gmc.exe file where you want. There is no dll file.

1. Start GMC, Click on Enter Filename and type in a filename where converted messages will be saved.
If this file exists, messages will be appended to this file.

2. Start CIM and get your mails.

3. If any mail is a form answer, mark all the text and type CTRL-INSERT to copy it into clipboard.

4. Click on Write Next in GMC/2 to append the message in clipboard to the Destination-file.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for every form answer. If you like you can click on Enter Filename to store the
next mails in a different file.

6. Click on Exit GMC.

Now you should have 2 output files. The name.min file is for logging purposes and contains the whole mail-message. The name.csv file contains all data from the variables, defined in your previous html-file. You can use it to import it into a db or spreadsheet file. The data was converted using the ansi-codepage! Have a look on the questions of your db- or spreadsheet program to select ansi! I used it by Starcalc from Stardivision.

No further help is provided, but I think it is also not needed.
