The Typo/2 fonts are designed to give you some of the typographic characters which have been unavailable to the OS/2-native application until now. These fonts will install in both the OS/2 Font Palette and in Win-OS/2's Adobe Type Manager.

The first step to typographic characters is to change your CONFIG.SYS file. Find the line which reads,
     CODEPAGE=437,850
and change it to read,
     CODEPAGE=850,437
Save the file, setting the Type to OS/2 Command File if prompted for a filetype, and SD&R (shut down and reboot).

You know how to install fonts in OS/2, don't you? If not, consult your manual or the online documentation.

OK, OK, to the interesting part. Here are the ASCII codes for each of the remapped characters:
134: fl ligature
143: fi ligature
152: common-law trademark
155: ellipsis
157: single dagger
170: fraction bar
207: double dagger
208: double open-quote
209: double close-quote
231: single open-quote
232: single close-quote (apostrophe)
236: em dash
237: en dash
