          CORRECTIONS TO THE MANUAL

The following items have changed with this release of the
          Iomega drivers for OS/2.

          ------------------------------
PAGE 1-2 -- THINGS TO WATCH FOR

The LaserSafe PRO can use the following types of disks.
650 Megabytes 512 bytes per sector.
650 Megabytes 1024 bytes per sector.
1 Gigabyte 512 bytes per sector.
1 Gigabyte 1024 bytes per sector.

The number of drives supported by the driver has been
significantly increased. This version of Iomega Drivers for OS/2
supports up to 4 Iomega supported host adapter boards per
computer, up to 14 Iomega supported drives per host adapter board
and up to 16 Iomega supported drives per computer. Refer to the
Release Notes for this release of the Iomega Drivers for OS/2 for
          new information.

          ------------------------------
          REFERENCES TO DRIVE C:

The manual refers to drive C: as the boot drive for your
computer. OS/2 version 2.0 allows you to boot from other drives.
Any references to drive C: in the manual mean your boot drive.

          =============================
          FORMATTING DISKS FOR HPFS

There is a problem with the High Performance File System (HPFS)
when used with removable media drives.
While files can be safely written to and read from Iomega HPFS
disks, some .EXE files may not run. Iomega and IBM are investigaing
this problem, and will provide a fix as soon as possible. Until
then, if you need to run programs from your Iomega disks, it is
best to use a FAT format.

Use the following procedure to format an Iomega disk for use
with the OS/2 High Performance File System (HPFS).

                                        - 3 -

o Prepare a Bernoulli disk or a LaserSafe disk
                    using the MPREP utility.

o Use the LOCK utility found in the \OAD subdirectory to
lock the disk in the drive. For example to lock the
disk in drive D: enter the following command line.

                                        LOCK D: /L

o Run format with the /FS:HPFS switch. Refer to your on-
line documentation for information about OS/2 format
                    and the HPFS.

          ------------------------------
          USING REMOVABLE DISKS AND HPFS

The current version of the IBM OS/2 HPFS file system does not
          support Removable media.

You can format Iomega Bernoulli and LaserSafe disks with the
HPFS file system, with the following restrictions.

o Since HPFS file system does not support removable disks,
the disk must remain in the drive for the entire OS/2
                  session.

o The LOCK utility included with the driver must be used to
lock the disk before the disk can be formatted with HPFS.

o If an HPFS disk is inserted during an OS/2 session, the
driver automatically will lock the disk in the drive the
first time the disk is accessed.

Warning: Removing the disk during an OS/2 session by
turning power off to the drive or using the LOCK
utility to unlock the disk could result in DATA LOSS.
The only correct way to remove an HPFS formatted disk
is to shutdown the system, remove the disk, and reboot
               the system.

          =============================
          CHANGING DISKS IN MPREP

If you change disks while running MPREP, make sure that you
rescan the drive by pressing <F3> before you begin the surface
verify on the disk. If you fail to rescan the disk, the
partition information written to it by MPREP could be the wrong
information for that media type. Wrong information written to
the disk could result in a misformatted disk and possible data
          loss.

          =============================
          INTERLEAVE SETTINGS FOR 8 INCH
          BERNOULLI DISKS

The default interleave setting used by MPREP for 8 inch
Bernoulli disks is 2. This setting will give maximum performance
on most 80286, 80386, and 80486 based computers.

          =============================
          THE IOMEGA PARALLEL PORT
          ADAPTER

This release of the Iomega drivers for OS/2 provides support
for the Iomega Parallel Port Adapter (PPA). The PPA allows you
to connect an Iomega-supported, single-drive subsystem to the
parallel port on your computer. The PPA allows the subsystem to
operate like any other Iomega supported subsystem with the
          following exceptions.

o The model number found on the back of the PPA case must be
PPA-I. If you have the previous version of the PPA, contact
Iomega Customer Service and Technical Support for
               information on obtaining an upgrade.

o Only two Iomega supported subsystems can be connected to the
               PPA.

o If you disconnect your printer to attach the PPA to your
computer's parallel port, you must tell the Print Manager to
hold the print queue for that port while using the PPA. For
example, if your printer is usually connected to LPT1:, open
the Print Manager Icon and set the Print Manager to hold all
printed files sent to the LPT1: queue. Refer to your OS/2
documentation for information on running the Print Manager.

If your computer has more than one parallel port, you can
connect the PPA to a port not being managed by the Print Manager.

          THE IOMEGA MODEL PC2 HOST
          ADAPTER

The new "blue" version of the Iomega Model PC2 host adapter
board has several enhancements supported by this release of the

                                        - 5 -

Iomega drivers for OS/2. The enhancements are selected by
setting switches on the host adapter board. Be sure and record
the switch settings for the board when it is installed. Refer to
your host adapter board owner's manual for information on setting
switches for the host adapter board.

When you install the Iomega drivers for OS/2 you can manually
configure the driver and select the same options set by the
switches on the host adapter board. Refer to "Chapter 2,
Configuring the Iomega Device Driver" for details on selecting
          the various options.

          ------------------------------
          INTERRUPT REQUEST (IRQ)
          SUPPORT

The new PC2 host adapter board allows you to select IRQ 5 or
IRQ 7. The Iomega Drivers for OS/2 support this choice.

          ------------------------------
          ADDITIONAL PORT ADDRESSES

The new PC2 host adapter board allows you to select 4
additional port addresses. The Iomega drivers for OS/2 support
          these additional settings.

          =============================
          THE FAST HOST OPTION

NOTE This option applies only to Model PC2/50 and PC2B/50 host
          adapter boards.

If your system has a bus speed of greater than 8MHz, the Fast
Host option should be enabled. If you are unsure of your system's
bus speed, assume you do not need the Fast Host option. If your
system reports "General Failure" errors, the Fast Host option
          might solve the problem.

The Fast Host option is installed while running GENOAD. If
you have already used GENOAD to create a custom CONFIG.OAD file
for your system, you can use GENOAD to edit that file and insert
          the Fast Host option.

To install the Fast Host option, use GENOAD to manually
configure the Iomega driver. Refer to "Manual Configuration" in
Chapter 2 of the Iomega Drivers For OS/2 User's Manual. Follow
steps 1 through 8. In the "Define Physical Connections"
menu, select the adapter, proceed to the "Configuration for
Iomega PC2 Adapter" menu, and select "Optional Parameters". From
the optional parameters select "/8 greater than 8Mhz bus".

                                        - 6 -

After selecting the Fast Host option return to the "Define
physical connections" menu and follow the steps in the manual to
          complete the configuration process.

After the CONFIG.OAD file has been saved, reboot your computer
for the changes to take effect.

          =============================
          THE OS/2 SWAPPATH COMMAND

Do not use the SWAPPATH command to specify a removable disk as
the target disk for swapping out programs. Information could be
lost if the system swapped it to a removable disk and the disk is
          subsequently removed from the drive.

          =============================
          INSTALLING UTILITIES UNDER
          OS/2 PRESENTATION MANAGER

GENOAD.EXE and MPREP.EXE can be run from an OS/2 window or an
          OS/2 full screen environment.

To add a utility icon to the Workplace Shell, refer to the
          OS/2 on-line help
