QikBac comes with INF files that you can read even before you install the 
program. This makes it posible to have a good over view of the program 
which will help you plan your installation and use of QikBac.

Thank you for getting QikBac, my hope is that it will help you keep your OS/2
system hhhhuuummmiiinnngggggg.  And that when you need it, that QikBac will 
get your system back to its good operating condition.

***THIS VERSION***

This version of QikBac ( 1.C ) comes with the means to make a restore disk
called QikDisk.  A command line set of programs that can be used when you
bootup with your OS/2 utility disk.

If you have a version of QikBac installed already, delete it before installing this one.
When you install, if you get a message that the DLL file already exsist, choose to over
write, as this version has the latest DLL files.

It also now has a backup for Dos config.sys and autoexec.bat files. A big 
plus now also is its ability to make backups of your Windows 3.0 to 3.11 
INI files, and WINOS2 INI files. 

*** Prepare For Installing QikBac ***

To get the QikBac ready for installation, you unzip the file
package into a temporary directory of your choice. Call the temporary
directory and make it active( cd qiktemp "for example) Then from the command
prompt inside the directory, type Install and press enter or from your desktop folder
view of the directory, click twice on the Install.exe  with your mouse pointer 
using the left button ( LMB ). The first window will ask you if you wish Dos/Window system 
files support installed, a yes or no.

This will then open the correct QikBac Install program and open the QBI.INF
Giving you more instructions how to install QikBac. You will find in the
Using QikBac INF a section on making the QikDisk.

This program is shareware, and can be registered by sending $1.00 to the 
following person { the programmer } and put you on the Reg List plus help
support software development for OS/2. It will work fine even if you do not
register, my wish is that all who want to use QikBac do so and have fun.
