FLASH Memory Update Utility Release 3.5

This utility is used to save and update FLASH memory. It is recommended
that this utility be executed from a bootable MS-DOS diskette that
contains BIOS recovery files for the target system (i.e. BIOS.REC). The
AUTOEXEC.BAT file provided in this file set will execute the iflash utility.

IFLASH.EXE must be executed in a system without memory managers installed.
If EMM386, QEMM, 386MAX, or Windows is active, then the FLASH update
is not safe. Remove any memory manager or exit Windows before executing
the FLASH Memory Update Utility.

NOTE !!!
All custom BIOS Setup parameters will be lost during the update process. If
there are custom BIOS Setup parameters you wish to save, record them prior
to running the update. After you have updated to the new BIOS and reset the
BIOS settings to their default values, reset the custom parameters.

There are no options in this update process. Insert the bootable BIOS update
diskette you created and reboot the system. The AUTOEXEC.BAT file will launch
two updates, one to update the boot block, the other to update the core of
the BIOS.

Update Process:
1) Place the BIOS update files on a bootable DOS diskette.
2) Insert the bootable BIOS update diskette and boot the system. During
system boot, the AUTOEXEC.BAT file provided among the update files will
   run the update sequence automatically.
3) You will see two launch events. After the boot block has been updated,
you will see the message "Operation completed successfully." This will be
followed by the operation which updates the BIOS core. Once the BIOS core
has been updated the system will automatically reboot.
4) Remove the bootable diskette.
5) Hit the <F2> key to enter the BIOS Setup program. If you see a "Checksum
Bad" message, follow the directions to hit the <F1> key to enter the BIOS
   Setup program.
6) Once you have entered the BIOS Setup program, hit the <F9> key to reset
the BIOS to its default settings.
7) If you have any custom BIOS Setup parameters, set them now.
8) Hit the <F10> key to save your settings and exit the BIOS Setup program.
9) The system will reboot and will be ready to run your applications.
