2.  General Installation Notes:
    2.1. You should have CD-ROM drive fully compatible with CD-i and
	  Video-CD formats. (CD-ROM drive should be marked with
	  letters BC, BD, or following).
    2.2 Remove /K switch from command line for CD-ROM driver in
	  CONFIG.SYS.
    2.3. If you have SMARTDRIVE on your system, the CD-ROM drive
	  should not be under SMARTDRIVE - it is incompatible with
	  Video-CD and CD-i.
    2.4. To be able to play Return To Zork you'll need at least 612K.
	  Please remove all unnecessary parts from AUTOEXEC.BAT
	  and CONFIG.SYS and then run MEMMAKER (DOS utility).

3. Before the installation, install CaptureTV m200 Utilities and Drivers.

4.  Windows MCI MPEG Driver
    4.1. Please check that you have the up-to-date version of
	   the Windows MCI subsystem: it should support Digital Video.
    4.2. The following files are installed for you:-
	   DIGITALV MCI - MCI subsystem. Should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM dir.
	   MCIOLE DLL - MCI subsystem. Should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM dir.
	   MPLAYER EXE - MediaPlayer. Should be in WINDOWS dir.
	   MPLAYER REG - MediaPlayer. Should be in WINDOWS dir.
	   MVP131 DLL Should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM dir.
	   WIN87EM EXE - Floating point emulation.
			   Should be in WINDOWS\SYSTEM dir.

    4.3. We advise you to overwrite the older files with ours.
    4.4. Check the SYSTEM.INI file. A new section should have been created
		 [R0 MPEG MCI Driver]
		 mpegpath=c:\captv\
    4.5. Check the SYSTEM.INI file for these lines in [mci] section
		 [mci]
		 ....
		 MpegVideo=c:\captv\mcimpeg.drv
		 CDIVideo=c:\captv\mcimpeg.drv
		 reelmagic=c:\captv\mcimpeg.drv
		 ....
    4.6. Check the WIN.INI file for these lines:
		 [windows]
		 ....
		 load=c:\win311\system\win87em.exe c:\captv\cdidll.exe
		 ....

		 [mci extensions]
		 ....
		 mpg=MpegVideo
		 vbs=MpegVideo
		 dat=MpegVideo
		 ....
    4.7. Run Windows and run Media Player. First time it will take
	   a while, because Multimedia System will try to load and
	   check drivers you just installed. When it finishes this process
	   please check MPLAYER.INI in Windows directory as following.
    4.8.   You'll see these lines in MPLAYER.INI:
		 [Devices]
		 ....
		 MpegVideo=4062, MCI MPEG Driver
		 CDIVideo=4057, MCI CD-I Driver
		 reelmagic=4062, ReelMagic Compatible MPEG Driver
    4.9. Run Media Player and play MPEG, CD-I and Karaoke

5. Windows 95 installation instructions for Ring Zero Systems MCI driver.

    5.1 Restart Windows in MS-DOS mode and install Ring Zero
	  Systems Software using INSTALL.EXE program located on installation disk.
	  When installation is complete restart Windows 95. At that point using
	  MediaPlayer you'll be able to play back MPEG files from hard disk and
	  CDs which are formatted as MS-DOS file system disks.
    5.2 In case if you have problems with playing back Video CD
	  and CD-i do the following:
	  make sure that DOS CD-ROM driver is loaded from
	  CONFIG.SYS and MSCDEX.EXE from AUTOEXEC.BAT (Windows 95 may
	  remove it during installation)
	  disable Plug and Play Win95 CD-ROM driver. To do that
	  go to Control Panel -> System and view device list By
	  Connection. You need to find the CD-ROM node down some of
	  the branches of the device tree. When it's found get to the
	  next level upwards from the CD-ROM and disable corresponding
	  controller (it may be IDE, SCSI or CD-ROM proprietary
	  controller). After your restart Windows 95 that controller
	  will work in MS-DOS compatibility mode which would allow for
	  CD-ROM access at sector level and MCI driver should be able
	  to play CD-i and VCD.

6. If you would like to change the settings after installation, you should run
	  rzsetup under the \captv\installation directory.
