INSTALL CZ Print Job Tracker 3.0

How to track, audit, manage and control the print jobs by using CZ Print Job Tracker 3.0?

Option1: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on any non print server computer
If you already have print servers on your network, and the printers are installed locally on the printer
servers using TCP/IP port, LPR port or LPT port and shared, you can simply add these network
printers ( e.g. \\printserver\printers) to the computer where you installed CZ Print Job Tracker, then
you should be able to track all the print jobs sent to these network printers from the workstations. For
example, if you have 10 shared network printers on a print server, you can add these 10 shared
network printers to the computer where CZ Print Job Tracker 3.0 is installed. This is exactly same as
that you add the shared network printers on the workstations. You can just follow the 'Add Printer
Wizard', and then select 'Network Printer' ( e.g. \\printserver\printers). The Option1 allows no changes
to your current print servers, printers and workstations settings.
For best performance, we recommend you to install CZ Print Job Tracker on the print server computers
directly.(Option2 and Option3)

Option2: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on the current print server computers
If you already have print server computers on your network, and the printers are installed locally on the
printer server computers using TCP/IP port, LPR port or LPT port and shared, you can simply install
CZ Print Job Tracker on these print server computers, then you should be able to track all the print jobs
sent to these printers from the workstations. The option2 allows no changes to your current print servers,
printers and workstations settings.

Option3: Install CZ Print Job Tracker on any computer that will be a print server
If you don't have the print servers on your current network, and the printers are TCP/IP printers that are
directly connected to the network by static IP address, then you can install the printers using TCP/IP port
or LPR port on the computer where CZ Print Job Tracker is installed, and share the printers and make
workstations print to the shared printers. By doing this, the computer where you installed CZ Print Job
Tracker acts as a print server, and you should be able to track all the print job sent to these printers.

You can also combine the three options above together to track the printing activities according to your
network environment.
