TIME! - timer plugin for PM123
===================================

1) Descrition
-------------

With this DLL for the mp3 player PM123 you can turn off
your ATX-computer after a certain time or after a certain
number of songs automatically.

This could be handy in some cases, especially if you want
to listen to a few mp3 songs before going to sleep. With TIME,
you don't have to stand up again to turn your computer off
manually!

2) Conditions
-------------

You need the following components to use TIME.DLL:

- ATX-Hardware
- OS/2 Warp 4, FixPack >= 6 (for APM 1.2)
- The program APM from Roman Stangl
  (download it here: http://www.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uh45/) -> Goto "OS/2 Warp"
  APM is a shutdown tool, that is launched by TIME.DLL to
  turn off your computer.
- PM123 >= 1.1 Beta 1

3) Installation
---------------

Copy all files to a certain directory. It's useful (but not necessary)
if you put them to a subdirectory of PM123.

After that, you have to do the following steps:

- Install APM
- start PM123
- Click on the PM123 window to open the "properties" dialog
- Choose the page "plugins"
- Press the "add" Button in the "visual plugin" section
  (Well, time.dll isn't really visual, but this was the only way
  to do it :-)
- Choose "time.dll" in the file dialog. You have to go to
  the directory to which you copied your timer-files, of course
  Press Ok.
- Now choose "time.dll" from the plugin list and press "configure"
- There's going to be another dialog:
- Type the path to APM incl. all paramteres into the "shutdown"
  entry field.
  Example: If AMP is located in C:\APM, then type
  C:\APM\APM.EXE /poweroff
- Confirm with "ok"

4) How to use
-------------

In order to configure the shutdown time, you have to call
the properties dialog again and press the "configure" button for
time.dll

You can now use the spin buttons to adjust either the number
of songs or a certain shutdown time or even both.
Klick the checkbox "shut down afert timeout" and/or "shut down
after a number of songs" to activate your configurations.

Now, click "Ok" to save the configuration and hand it over to PM123.
"Cancel" will restore the old configuration.
