	New Users
	~~~~~~~~~
	Upon start-up for the first time, new users will get a blank toolbar
	across the top of DM/2.
	The workaround for this bug is to place the mouse pointer over the
	blank bar and press the RMB and then select the icons you want.
	Subsequent invocations of DM/2 will work properly.
INTRODUCTION
Directory Manager/2 for PM v1.01m is the successor to dirman
2.01f. DM/2 is a sophisticated WorkPlace Shell integrated file and
disk manager for OS/2 2_x.
In response to users comments and suggestions, this latest version has
a variety of new functions.  Notable improvements include a tree view,
implementation of right mouse button activated pop-up menus throughout,
and extensive customization options.  Because of the extensive changes
of this version, its name has been changed from  Dirman to DM/2.
Among the improved features of DM/2, is the ability precisely control
what is displayed in a file window, and how that information is
sorted.  The user can select to have a new file window opened every
time a new directory is selected from the tree, or to have only a user
selected number of file windows open with replacement when directories
are changed.  This will appeal to users who dislike the clutter of file
windows that occurs when using the WPS file system
All the usual disk utilities are included such a a file copy, move,
rename, and delete (including recursive), file viewer, file attribute
support, floppy formatting, file undelete facility, drag'n'drop of
files and directories between windows of  DM/2, and the WPS desktop,
WPS associations, custom macros, and file printing.  Font and color
scheme support is also included.
The performance of DM/2 is substantially better than FM/2.  For
example, it takes FM/2 59 seconds to read 524 files and DM2 10 seconds
and FM/2 15 sec to read 110 files and DM/2 3 sec.
Please note that the version of DM/2 uploaded is a demo version.
DM/2 is shareware and the demo is, consequently, nagware.
        KNOWN PROBLEMS
	NETWORK DRIVES: The use of directory tree on a network drive to
        navigate will be slower than using the directories in the file
        window, this is because the directory tree displays all levels
        (searches), where-as the file window only displays the current
        level. This release has cut the number of file requests in half,
        thus there is a speed improvement.
        sub-sub directory (H:\qpro\ugc).  The ugc directory is displayed in file window.
        Press control key (to copy), then with rt mouse button drag ugc directory to the
        F: drive icon.  The ugc directory was created on drive F: and filled correctly with
        the 30 files (1.2Mb), but DM2 then creates a subdirectory of ugc called ugc
        (F:\ugc\ugc) and copies the same thirty files there also.  After putting all thirty
        files in this second directory it keeps asking for permission to overwrite the file(s)
        it has already copied to the wrong directory. I keep hitting cancel but the loop
        appears to be infinite.  I try to kill DM2 using upper left corner, doesn't work, then
        bring up window list (OS/2s) and try to close DM2, again doesn't work, ended up
        having to ungracefully exit OS/2.
        Problem Description
        Attempting to delete the <UP-DIR> from the file window produces a
        long series of error boxes, as the program tries to delete every
        subdirectory of the root. On my system, it would take forever to
        answer OK to all of them. I kill the program from the WPS. A single
        error box should result from attempting this illegal operation.
