v1.4 Beta 16/6/99
- Added SID File Caching. This is kinda experimental..

To enable caching, go into preferences and Caching, and enable it. You can also set
how much space the cache files take up in that dialog box. SIDAmp uses caching to allow
seeking to any position in any tune immediately. In other words, with caching enabled,
SID files are fully seekable, just like mp3 files. This is a feature many people have
been requesting for some time. SIDAmp will also attempt to detect the length of the SID
tune. However, this only works for a small minority of SIDs (those with silence at the
end). If the tune length cannot be detected, SIDAmp will default to 10 minutes. The
tune length can be set in the File Info dialog box (ALT-3). The tune length will be
saved and remembered for subsequent uses of that SID file. To estimate the required cache
size, each SID tune cache file is usually about 20k (some up to 70k). If the max cache
size is exceeded, the SID tune cache file that hasn't been played for the longest amount
of time will be deleted from the cache.

- playlist fixes, shows the correct length in the playlist.
- cannot move slider bar to song zero anymore
- fixed SID file validating routine, eliminates "May not be a valid SID file" bogus warnings
- lots and lots of fixes that I can't remember now!

v1.34 22/4/99

- HVSC playlist bug fixed (automatic basepath adjusts correctly with slash now)

v1.33 20/4/99
- a number of crash bugs fixed
- playlist display working properly
- new skin file selector added
- HVSC STIL path bug fixed
- mus file extension support added

v1.32 1/4/99
- library updated to SIDPlay1.36.34 and reSID 0.7

v1.31 6/1/99
- Fixed minor bug causing tunes to stop playing after a second or two

v1.3 25/11/98
- Completely recoded trackbar tune-selector window, added skin to it (yay!)
- Fixed several windowing bugs
- Fixed normal config not changing when Custom frequency selected
- Fixed mixer bug with channels not being updated right
- Fixed playlist window bug - sidamp does not steal focus when minimised and playing playlists
- Added Filter Emulation option in config, eliminates problems reported with reSID playing voices quietly
- Fixed playlist bug causing subtune selector not to work properly
- Upgraded sidplay engine to 1.36.29
- Added support in filenames for "HVSC_BASEDIR": SidAmp will automatically replace this symbol with the current HVSC path as specified in Setup.
eg you can specify in playlists something like
  "HVSC_BASEDIR/Hubbard_Rob/Commando.sid"
and have it automatically expand the current HVSC path. Mainly for use with LaLa's playlists so no need for environment settings :)

v1.2 29/10/98
- Fixed several window minimising/z-order/refresh bugs
- Play lists: can specify time length to cut-off for each tune, as well as specify which sub-tune to play. Use WinAmp playlist-editor, add each entry as per normal, THEN ONLY IF YOU WANT TO SPECIFY subtune and time, edit the entry (select entry, hit CTRL-E) and enclose the tune filename in quotes, then leave a space followed by the tune number, followed by another space, and the time to play.
example entry:
"D:\hvsids\Favourites\IK_plus.sid" 1 5:00
(plays IK+ tune #1 for 5 mins)
Note: WinAmp adds some dir text in front of the entries: this is okay, it will be stripped out by SidAmp.
- changes to author/title/copyright can now be written back to the file
- listening milage in Configure|Credits
- checks sid files for corruption during download - sends warning to user if possibly corrupted
- reSid and SidPlay emulation in the same dll (as an option)
- STIL support: setup in Preferences|Configure.
- Trackbar window bug fixed: trackbar now always stays at bottom of winamp window
- Fixed visual display: fills entire buffer now
- Separate reSid version
- default to Rom Emulation
- plays new tune as soon as + or - is pressed

v1.1
- Path bug fixed: config settings now save all the time, regardless of installation changes.

v1.0
- Basic SidAmp completed
