FILE DIRECTORY FOR ACS PATCHES


ACS patch kits contain files in multiple formats to support several of 
the more common terminal emulation and storage management utilities. To 
apply an ACS patch stream, it is only necessary to use files with the 
extension used by your preferred utility.

TXT FILES - Text only scripts with no control codes or flow control 
characters. These scripts can be used for manual entry when using the 
CLCP utility, or when using the SWCC, HSZterm, or SCU utilites. The 
HyperTerminal terminal emulation program can also be used with TXT files 
by following these instructions:

	Go to FILE on the toolbar and click PROPERTIES
	Select SETTINGS Tab
	Select ASCII SETUP
	Set LINE DELAY to 100 milliseconds
	Set CHARACTER DELAY to 10 milliseconds

Select TRANSFER on the toolbar, and click SEND TEXT FILE.
Browse to the location of the ACS text script, highlight the file, and 
click OPEN.

KTM FILES - Files are in the format of KEAterm macros. These patches can 
be applied with the following instructions:

	Connect a serial cable from the COM port of a PC or laptop to the 
	     HSx console port.
	Begin a KEAterm session on the same COM port.
	From the KEAterm toolbar select MACRO, then RUN.
	Browse to the location of the desired .KTM file.

PSL FILES - Files in the format of PowerTerm macros. These patches can be 
applied with the following instructions:

	Connect a serial cable from the COM port of a PC or laptop to the 
	     HSx console port.
	Begin a PowerTerm session on the same COM port.
	From the PowerTerm toolbar select SCRIPT, then RUN SCRIPT.
	Browse to the location of the desired .PSL file.
