This version of the Insight Integration supports Unicenter NSM r11,
Unicenter NSM 3.x, and Unicenter TNG 2.4.

Note: Users of Unicenter NSM r11 should not reclassify systems running
the Computer Associates agents to the HP_ classes. This will result in
those agents not being monitored.

Installing the HP Insight Integration version 3.3 for Unicenter:

This information is necessary for selecting the appropriate options
to install the integration module and its various components.

If you are performing an upgrade of the integration module, read the
information in the documentation before proceeding.

The installation of the integration is broken up into several components:

 - Standard Installation (Agent DSM Policy and Message Records)
 - Full Installation (Agent DSM Policy, Message Records, and HP Classes)
 - Insight Agent Policy (Agent DSM Policy Only)
 - Message Records (Message Records and Actions Only)
 - WorldView Client (Standalone Worldview Client)
 - DSM Server (Standalone DSM Server)
 - Web Jetadmin (Files for Web Jetadmin integration)

To perform this installation you should have the following information:
  1. The name of the Common Object Repository System.
  2. The username to log into the database.
  3. The password to log into the database.
  4. The SNMP community string to use for discovery.

----------

Agent Technology integration (DSM Policy):

This integration supports Unicenter NSM r11, 3.1, 3.0 and
Unicenter TNG 2.4.

This is the core part of the integration. It defines the HP Management
Agents in the Unicenter Common Object Repository and installs the
policy files necessary for monitoring those agents.

If the InsightManager class exists, all objects in that class will
be deleted and the class will be removed. Then the new version of
the InsightManager class will be installed.

Verify that 'awservices' is running once the installation is complete.

(Part of the Standard, Full, and Insight Agent installs.)

----------

Enterprise Management integration - Installing the Message Records:

This installs the predefined HP Message Records and actions for processing
HP SNMP traps in the Unicenter Enterprise Management Console.
Be sure to run opreload once the new message records are installed.

If this is an existing installation, do not select this option unless
you wish to reinstall all message records. Refer to the \CPQEM\NEW3.3
and \CPQEM\UPDATED3.3 directories for information on installing the
message records that are new or have been updated since the last
release of the integration.

(Part of the Full and Message Record installs.)

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of the integration and wish
to reinstall all the HP message records, run the removal scripts provided
with the earlier integration version to remove the previous message
records and actions.

For example:
1) Change to the directory containing the version 3.0 integration.
2) Change to the \cpqem\remove directory.
3) Run cpqem_remove.bat
4) Change to the direcotry containing the version 3.0a update.
5) Change to the \cpqem directory.
6) Run remove.bat

All message records have changed, so running these earlier scripts
will not remove the message records in the version 3.2 integration.

Note: The existing message records and actions are not removed
automatically so the user can preserve any customizations that may
have been created.

----------

HP Classes for Worldview 2nd level discovery:

This component requires that the Agent Technology integration be installed
first. The new HP classes defined in the \CPQTND\CPQWV\CLASSES directory
are installed by this option.

Once the classes have been installed, the discovery program needs to be
executed to reclassify devices as HP systems. This is done by running the
HPDSCVR command. This program checks the Common Object Repository for
objects in the supported classes and then checks each object in the
supported classes to see if it is an HP device. If the device is
identified as HP, it is reclassified to the appropriate HP class.

The discovery executable takes the following parameters:
 - Repository Name: The name of the Unicenter Repository to connect
 - User Name: The user name used to connect to the repository
 - Password: The password for the specified user. NOTE: "B" is used if there
is no password for the specified user.
 - Community String: The SNMP community string to use during the discovery
   process.
 - S or R: discovery all Systems or only Remote Insight devices.

(Part of the Full install.)

----------

WorldView Client:

This installation is for a standalone WorldView client system.

----------

Distributed State Machine Server:

This installation is for a system that contains the DSM components
of a Unicenter install. Separate WorldView clients may use this DSM
and they will need the client installed separately.

This install must be run on the DSM system. It cannot be run
remotely.

----------

Web Jetadmin Integration Components:

This component installs menu integration with HP Web Jetadmin
in Unicenter. The HP_Printer class is updated with new menu
items to provide launch functionality to Web Jetadmin and
to the web interface on the printer.

Additionally, basic printer events are defined with Message
Records and Actions in the Unicenter repository.
