Patch 86 - 928Movie Upgrade For PowerPlay Rev B
-----------------------------------------------

Introduction
------------

The software components on this disk provide the latest support for MPEG
Player and Captivator Pro on 928Movie systems with PowerPlay32 Rev A or
Rev B fitted. The software has been changed to take account of the 38MHz
clock rate modification for Rev B cards. Full screen video should be
achievable in 1024x768 65K colour display mode, for both MPEG Player and
Captivator Pro.

Installation
------------

The following files are included and should be used to upgrade the
corresponding components from MPEG Player 1.0, Captivator Pro v1.0 or
928Movie v1.1 or v1.1.1:

- VDI.DLL version 1.2. This should be copied to the directory where
the MPEG Player software was installed. This is C:\VLPOWER by default.

- PPSCALE.DRV version 1.2.2. This is an upgrade of PPSCALE.DRV for 928Movie.
It should be copied to WINDOWS\SYSTEM.

- PPINIT.EXE. This should be copied to WINDOWS\SYSTEM and solves the
problem where an error box comes up on Windows startup saying that the
PowerPlay device version is not supported .

- PPINTER.DLL. This should be copied to WINDOWS\SYSTEM.

Troubleshooting
---------------

If you experience any problems upgrading these files, you can check whether
the correct versions are in use as follows:

- Open the Windows "Control Panel" application.

- Double click the "Drivers" icon to bring up the drivers control panel.

- Scroll the drivers list to show the driver called "[MCI] VideoLogic MPEG
Player". Select this driver in the list by double clicking it. This will
bring up the VideoLogic MPEG PLayer Setup dialog.

- From this dialog's system menu (click top left corner of window), select
"Version Info". This will display a list of DLL and driver versions used
by MPEG Player. Check the file versions for "VDI DLL" and "PPLAY DRIVER"
  are "1.2" and "1.2.2" respectively.
