RUNNING TAPE DRIVES ON THE POLLIWOG AND THE SCardSI PRODUCTS REQUIRE SETTING
THE /S SWITCH.

The /S switch will insert a defined number of no-operations into the data
stream to periodically delay the data and avoid over filling the Tape drive's
data buffer. The values of /S are as follows:

Number of no-ops for both Polliwog/EPP Bi-directional and SCardSI:
/S2 = 800h /S6 = 2800h
/S3 = 1000h /S7 = 3000h
/S4 = 1800h /S8 = 3800h
/S5 = 2000h /S9 = 0h and no CPU cache

Number of no-ops for Polliwog non-EPP Bi-directional only:
/S2 = 2AAh /S6 = D55h
/S3 = 555h /S7 = 1000h
/S4 = 800h /S8 = 12AAh
/S5 = AAAh /S9 = 0h and no CPU cache

If your Tape drive is experiencing an excessive number of underruns (more
than one in 20 seconds), decrease the value of /S on the WBSASPI.SYS line in
the CONFIG.SYS file.

If your backup session halts before completion, increase the value of /S on
the WBSASPI.SYS line in the CONFIG.SYS file.

** NOTE **
There is no risk of a contaminated backup if the backup session halts before
completion. In this case the software will not write the results of the
session to the volume table and as such will not be able to perform compare
nor restore from the halted session.
