Trouble Shooting
----------------
1. Q: The Message shows "Can't Initialize System [90]" when the MPEG program executes.
   A: MPEG software uses four common I/O addresses, 280-28F, 2A0-2AF, 300-30F and 320-32F.
If software and hardware settings are incorrect or conflict with the other add-on card, then the MPEG
program cannot initialize the MPEG Card properly.
     (i) please refer MPEG manual set the jumper JP5 on the MPEG card setting and excute MPEG 34FF Setup
to config the software again. Be sure that the jumper setting MUST be consistent with the config of
          MPEG Software.

(ii) Please let other add-on cards not to use the same I/O port (default address is 280-28F) as MPEG defaut address.
However, if you want to change this I/O Port address, you should change the JP5 setting and do not forget
choose another I/O port at MPEG 34FF Setup that consists the hardware jump setting.

2. Q: The Message shows "Can't Initialize System [100]"
A: The message indecates that the driver VFIC001D.386 does not load while Windows starts
or the available memory under 640K conventional memory is not enough.
     (i) Please edit the system.ini at Windows directory, Search the [386Enh] section, and add
         a line such as:
              [386Enh]
              device=c:\mpeg\vfic001d.386
(ii) If you load too many TSR programs while PC starts, please quit some TSR programs from memory and
          try again.

3. Q: The message diplays "CD-ROM Memory Allocation Error.[0]" error Message when click the CD-I buttom.
A: This message indicates that there is not any CD-ROM available to playback CD-I and Video CD.
Please check config.sys or autoexec.bat to make sure both your CD-ROM hardware and driver installed
      properly.

4. Q: Why is there no response while clicking CD-I buttom after completed MPEG installation program ?
A: (i) First of all, make sure your CD-ROM drive program installed properly(refer your CD-ROM
          drive manual)
(ii) 2nd, if (i) is ok, please put the CD-I or Video CD into your CD-ROM drive and click
CD-I buttom one time before you play.
(iii) if (ii) is ok, but it can not work fine, please check your autoexec.bat file.
Normally, it executes the MSCDEXE.EXE before smartdrv.exe will promote CD-ROM drive speed.
However, it will effect the correctness of reading. Thus,
         >> add /U after smartdrv.exe
         >> put smartdrv.exe before MSCDEXE.EXE as follow:
            C:\DOS\SMARTDRV.EXE /U
            .....
            C:\DOS\MSCDEXE.EXE /D:MSCD000

5. Q: Why can't play a CD-ROM with CD-I format?
A: Please find a CD-ROM with Video CD format and use OPEN buttom to play a MPEG file. If works
fine, your CD-ROM drive dose not support CD-I. Please change CD-ROM drive supporting with CD-I.

6. Q: It always diplays black screen and produce "Bo Bo .." sound whenever palying CD-I,
      Video CD or MPEG file.
A: MPEG Decoder card IRQ conflicts other interface cards.
      (i) Please write down all ADD-ON or interface cards in your pc system and make sure all IRQ values
          are different.
(ii) if you still have problems for (i), please take out a sound card, a network card etc except
I/O and VGA and try again.
(iii) or please refer the MPEG manual and change IRQ to 5 or 7.

7. Q: It plays CD-I and Video CD or MPEG file OK, but there is no audio output ?
A: MPEG Decoder card I/O port conflicts other interface cards.
     (i) Make sure that your speaker is On and properly connect to the Audio Output of MPEG Card.
(ii) Please check the Mute function, Volume Ajust and volume knob.
(iii) Please take out all probable problem cards except I/O and VGA cards, then try again.
     (iv) Please adjust MPEG Decoder jumper JP5 : 1, 2 open 3,4 : close (or 1, 2 open; 3,4 open) and set
your software config I/O port to 2A0H/320H, then try again.
NOTE: It always remembers hardware jumper setting should be same as software.

8. Q: After installation MPEG card, the sound card always produces last sound and can not exit Windows.
A: MPEG Decoder card conflicts sound card. Normally, a sound card uses IRQ 5 with Sound Blaster mode and
IRQ 11 with Windows Sound System Mode.
Please change IRQ setting to avoid to conflict each other.

9. Q: It can not find the device using the Media Player after completed installation.
A: MPEG Decoder card supports the MCI driver to execute some application programs ,such as Media Player.
When you 1st time run the Media Player, it should check system.ini with device automatically and produce the
      mplayer.ini file.
Please select correct device drivers when uses Media Player, such as
CD-I or Video CD or MPEG file.

10. Q: How to use MPEG decoder or player with sound card? Should I connect the speakers to MPEG card or sound card?
A: Please find a mini stereo head-phone line. Connect MPEG Audio output to sound card line-in.
The speakers should connect to the spk/output of the sound card.
Be sure to enable the sound card under the Windows environment, especially mixer function.

Driver Version Update Note
--------------------------
MPEG 34FS Software dedicates this Version 2.1 to improve Lips Synchronization by using advenced
algorithm. Hereafter, the program supports several different frame rates without degrading the
playback both the speed and quality.
