INSTALLATION -- This diskette contains the necessary drivers for
using your CDE-1200 CD-ROM drive under MS-DOS (and Windows 3.x).
To install the drivers, change to drive A: and type "install"
followed by the <Enter> key.

IMPORTANT WINDOWS 3.x CONSIDERATIONS -- The installation program
will automatically take care of the following items. However,
the information below is provided in case you wish to manually
make these changes, or verify that your configuration is
correct.

The following line must be included in the [386Enh] section of
your Windows SYSTEM.INI file:

                   VirtualHDIRQ=Off

To do this, use a text editor (such as MS-DOS EDIT) to edit the
SYSTEM.INI file (typically contained in the C:\WINDOWS
directory). Move to the [386Enh] section of the file and insert
a new line containing the VirtualHDIRQ=Off statement. This new
line should be inserted BELOW the [386Enh] line.

32-BIT DISK ACCESS -- The "Use 32-bit Disk Access" check box
must be turned off using the Windows Control Panel, Virtual
Memory dialog box before using this CD-ROM drive. To make the
required change, perform the following steps:

  1. Double click on the "Control Panel" icon in Windows.
  2. Double click on the "386 Enhanced" icon.
  3. Click on the "Virtual Memory" button.
  4. Click on the "Change" button.
  5. Clear the "X" from the "Use 32-bit disk access" if it's active.
  6. Follow the instructions which appear to restart Windows.
