
          INSTALLING THE ALR MULTUS DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 3.1

1. Use MS-DOS fdisk.exe to create a partition for the first drive,
   and format the drive.

2. Create a subdirectory called "MULTUS".

3. Copy the following files from the distribution diskette
   into the C:\MULTUS directory
        MTSDRV.SYS (Multus device driver for MS-DOS)
        MFDSK.EXE  (Multus Fdisk Utility)
        MFDSK.DAT  (data file for MFDSK.EXE)

4. Add following line to your config.sys file
          DEVICE=C:\MULTUS\MTSDRV.SYS 
 
5. Reboot the system, and the Multus driver will enable the remaining
   drives.

6. Copy the file MULTUS.386 from this diskette to the
   C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory.

7. Edit your SYSTEM.INI file (in the directory where Windows 3.1
   is installed) and replace the statement "device=*wdctrl" (in the
   [386Enh] section) with the following line: device=multus.386.
   Also, Add this following line to the very beginning of the 
   [386Enh section]:
        
        [386Enhance]
        VirtualHDIRQ=FALSE
