Archie Version 0.2 (29 May 1998)
by Chris-O

What it is?
-----------

Archie is an Archimedes A440 emulator for DOS.

It is freeware and it is not to be distributed with OS
ROMs and it is not to be modified or sold.

What's New?
-----------

Version 0.2 has many enhancements to the arm2 emulation,
a better (but still lots to do) memc and a few hard-coded
keypress checks...

Getting Started
---------------

You should have the following files:

	'Archie.exe' - The emulator
	'Readme.txt' - This file
  'Dos4gw.exe' - available elsewhere.

You will also need some programs to run, several demos are
available on the web site.

Syntax:

ARCHIE	[/v0] [name of program file]

By default, archie will run in 800x600x256 vesa 1.2 mode,
and attempt to load & run file tcd_demo.arm

The /v0 switch forces archie to run in scaled 320x200 vga mode.

Roms are not yet required as the few functions used by
the supported demos are hard coded. Roms are copyrighted
by Acorn, and are therefore under no circumstances
to be distributed with this emulator.
