The BBC Microcomputer User Guide
RTF Conversion
Greg Cook, 21st November 2002

This is an RTF conversion of the user guide for the Acorn BBC Micro, model B+.
The source copy is an Issue 1 manual, dated October 1984, and Microsoft Word
97 was used to create the RTF file. This electronic conversion is in no way
associated with Acorn Computers Limited or with any other company, or with the
authors of the original book.

This manual is compatible with all models of the Acorn Proton (the first
series of BBC Microcomputers), namely models A, B and B+. Features of the B+
which are documented in this guide include the shadow screen, the revised
sideways ROM sockets, the 64K RAM memory map and the updated digital I/O
circuits, plus full documentation of OS 2.00.

All known errors and ambiguities in the paper edition, excluding spelling and
grammatical mistakes, are marked with comments. In Microsoft Word, move and
hover the mouse over the highlighted sections to display the comments. If the
RTF file contains any errors which aren't in the original book, please let me
know so that I can update it.

The contents of the User Guide were digitised with the intention of preserving
the valuable information it contains. If any of the copyright holders request
this file be withdrawn, I will not hesitate to take it offline.

Warning: You are using this RTF presentation at your own risk. The creator of
these files accepts no liability for any loss, injury or death, of any nature
and howsoever caused, arising directly or indirectly from the use of, or
failure, inability, or unwillingness to use, this presentation.
