@X08 @X0FCOWS AFTER MESSAGE COMMAND SELECTOR

@X0F   Description

@X0F @X07Just Use Your LightBar To Select One Of The Following. And Use
@X07 The '@X0F>@X07' And '@X0F<@X07' To Go To The next/Previous Page.

@X07 @X0FA Abort message. @X07Aborts the current message entry and
@X07 returns to the command prompt.

@X07         @X0FC            Continue message using line-editor.  @X07Continue the
@X07                      message using the line-editor.

@X07 @X0FD Delete a line. @X07Enables you to delete any line by line
@X07 number. If you are using the full-screen editor, you
@X07 can use CTRL-Y to delete the current line.

@X07 @X0FE Edit a line. @X07Enables you to edit any line in the
@X07 message. Once the line number to edit has been
@X07 entered, you are asked for the text to replace followed
@X07 by a semicolon, and finally the replacement text. For
@X07 example, if you want to replace the word halp with the
@X07 word help, you would type halp;help. Editing text in
@X07 the full-screen editor is even easier because you can
@X07 move the cursor around and toggle insert/overwrite
@X07                      mode.

@X07         @X0FF            Edit message using full-screen editor.  @X07Continue
@X07 editing the message using the full-screen editor.

@X07 @X0FH Help. @X07Enables you to access on-line help for entering
@X07                      a message.

@X07 @X0FI Insert a line. @X07Enables you to insert lines after the
@X07 line number specified. Each line is inserted one at a
@X07 time. The insertion stops when you press R on a blank
@X07 line. In the full-screen editor, you may use C-N to
@X07 insert a new line in the message.

@X07 @X0FL List current message. @X07If you are using the line
@X07 editor, you can list the current message showing all
@X07 line numbers and the contents of the message by using
@X07 this command. This command allows you to preview the
@X07 message and to obtain line numbers that you may want to
@X07                      modify.

@X07 @X0FQ Quote message. @X07When replying to a message you can
@X07 quote from the original message to make the reply
@X07 clearer. You may quote as many lines as desired. When
@X07 prompted, enter the beginning and ending line number
@X07 that you wish to quote. These lines are then brought
@X07 into the message with each line being preceded by a ->
@X07 to show it is a quote. This command only works when
@X07 the current message is a reply.

@X07 NOTE: Local users may also quote a message by using
@X07 PCBoard's scroll back feature. For more information
@X07 about using PCBoard's scroll-back to quote message see
@X07 the REPLY user command later in this chapter.

@X07 @X0FS Save message. @X07Once the message is complete it can be
@X07 saved using this command. Once the message has been
@X07 saved, you are returned back to the command prompt.

@X07         @X0FSA           Save and attach a file.  @X07You can attach a file to a
@X07 message. When a file is attached to a message users
@X07 that can read the message can also flag the file for
@X07 download. Using this method, two or more individuals
@X07 can share a file that might be relevant to the message
@X07 being entered. When you attach a file, you will be
@X07 asked for a protocol to use and also for the filename.
@X07 If the transfer is successful, the file will be
@X07 attached and the message will be saved. If the upload
@X07 is not successful, you will be returned to the message
@X07                      command prompt.

@X07         @X0FU            Upload a message.  @X07To upload a prepared message into
@X07 the message editor, use this command. PCBoard will
@X07 prompt you for the protocol to use to upload the
@X07 prepared message. Once a protocol has been selected,
@X07 you will be informed that PCBoard is ready to begin
@X07 their upload. Upload the message as you would upload
@X07 any other file to your system. When the transfer is
@X07 complete, the message will be checked for line lengths.
@X07 If any line in the imported message is in excess of 79
@X07 characters, PCBoard will not allow you to edit the
@X07 message. Instead, you may only save the message as it
@X07                      was uploaded.
