We've separated the competitions
into 4 different sections. Every
section has its moderator, who
is in charge on it, and you
should contact him for any
question or problem, and not the
main organizer or any other staff
member.

  3 fast-surprise competitions will
be held too, and will be
announced at the night of the
  first day.

The Demo Machine

All the competitions will be held
using the following machine:

-Processor: Intel P133.
-Memory: 16Mb DRAM.
-Graphics: 2MB PCI card with S3.
(VBE20 will be enabled by UNIVBE
 or by hardware).
-Sound: A sound blaster AWE 32Bit
with 1Mb of DRAM and a Gravis
 Ultrasound Max 32Bit with 1MB
 DRAM.
-Configuration:
Ms Dos 7 with the following boot
 options:
 1) DOS=HIGH
    DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS

 2) DOS=HIGH,UMB
    DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS
    DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS
You will be asked for your
preffered configuration at
the entry form. DOS4GW.EXE will
be available,and shouldn't be
included with the products.

The Voting

Every scener who has a tag and
has been recorded into the
system will be able to vote.
The voting will be on voting
terminals, secured by personal
passwords.
Rank papers to fill while the
competitions will be available,
and we will turn the light on
after each entry so you'll be able
to write.
These are not a must, but they
are very helpful for remembering
the numbers of your selected
entries.

The voters' votings will count for
80%, and the jurys weight will
be 20%.
The jury makes sure the best
entries will win, not automatically
those with the the more popular
creators. The jury will consist of
the relevant competition organizer
and known sceners.

Prizes

Cash prizes plus misc. hardware /
software prizes from the sponsers
will be given to the 1st place
winners and in some competitions
to the 2nd place winners too.
We cant give you more details
now, but you can be sure that
the size of the prizes will be
way beyond what you've seen in
Israel so far.

The hardware / software prizes
will be given at the ending
gathering at the end of the
event. missed it - missed the
prizes. (or you'll need a very
good excuse..). Cash, as always,
might be delayed but we'll try
to finish everything up as
quickly as possible.

Entry Registering Procedure

 The entries should be
 transferred to the reception
 desk until the deadline,as stated
at the schedule. We will be strict,
so make sure you plan your time
well. You better give the entry
before the deadline, so if there
will be a problem you will still
have time to fix it. All the
entries will be checked by the
 competition organizer and the
 jury, before the competitions
to avoid problems and delay with
 the competitions themselves.

An entry must be on a 3.5"
 standard floppy disk(s), each
disk labeled with the name of
 the competition, handle of the
author and title of the entry.
 The floppies will not be
 returned.

 At the animation competition we
will accept entries given via a
HDD,or a direct. On the Wild
 Competition, entries will be
 given via video cassettes. The
cassettes must be VHS type and
 follow the European video
 standards. As with the floppies,
 the cassettes won't be returned.

The name of the files have to
 comply with the ISO-9660 standard.
No high ascii, no Win95 long names
 etc.

Any entry contains on its disks a
 standard entry form, filled
 completely.The form is available
 in this package ('ENTRY.FRM'). An
entry without a form will be
 disqualified.

The moderators hold the right to
disqualify any entry if it does
 not match the competition rules,
or just looks ripped. We will be
 checking any entry for rips,
 especially at the code competitions
 and the graphics compos.

On solo competitions - 4k Intro,
 Multichannel, 4 channels, 2d
 graphics, 3d graphics, ansi, ascii
pic and ascii font, the creator
 must be present.
 On group competitions, only one
 representer of the group must
 be present.

If you have a really good excuse
 (like army recruitment) why you
can't come and you still want to
compete - call to the relevant
moderator, and we will enter your
 entry to the competition. Note
that still if you won't come
you won't be able to get any
 prize (including cash), even
if you have won the 1st place.

The Competitions Rules

A competition with less than 4
 entries will be canceled. The
entries will be shown but there
will be no voting. Note that at
 the more problematic competitions
 (4k Intro, 64k Intro), we'll
 probably be less strict.

  Kombat / Immortals.

Music Competitions - Moderator:
  Krembo / Emerge

The entries will be played using
  the latest version of Impulse
Tracker. The IT driver will be
  the ITGUSLO.DRV. This driver is
being used in order to maintain
  several things:
  1. Avoid using the Channel-
     reinitilazation feature.
  2. Create the same mixing rate
     during song play.
  3. Create the same quality given
     for many-channels modules, and
     few-channels modules.
Note that it is possible that we
will use a different DRV file
  on the 4ch.

MULTI CHANNEL

As in past Israeli competitions,
we will divide the entries into 3
different houses. From each house
two selected houses will continue
to the finals.

- Only MOD, S3Ms, XMs and IT
  files will be excepted!
Please do not compose your music
with Exotic formats, such as LIQ,
MDL and else. As good trackers
you better move to more powerful
  and common formats, instead of
  writing music that not everybody
  can hear. Note that according
  to the statistics, those kind
  of formats never reach high
  places.
- Largest size of file is 1024Kb.
Note that If the 16bit samples you
have used will create a "not
  enough sound card RAM" error,
We will reduce them all to 8Bit.
Don't worry, as far as I know,
there is almost no quality loss.
- Maximum running length is 3.5
minutes (The entire module can be
  longer).
Longer files will be stopped with
  a FADE-OUT, not with a brutal
  CUT.
On the finals, There will be
  given more time for playing,
if needed, or if the module is
only few seconds longer than the
  limit.
- There mustn't be any clue to the
  author name, handle or group,
  anywhere in the entry file.
If the name of the author is
  written anywhere in the entry,
  it will be disqualified without
  mercy.
- Up to 32 Real channels, No
  limitation on the Virtual
  Channels number.
Note that because we will use a
GUS,You will never get more than
  32 channels played, Real or
  Virtual.
- One entry by one competitor.

FOUR CHANNEL

- Only MOD, MTM, S3M, XM and IT(!)
  are allowed.
- Largest size of file is 800Kb.
Note that if the 16bit samples
you have used will create a
  "not enough sound card RAM"
error, We will reduce them all
to 8Bit. Don't worry, as far as
I can tell, there is almost no
  quality loss.
- Maximum running length is 3.5
  minutes. The entire module can
  be longer.
Longer files will be stopped with
  a FADE-OUT, not with a brutal
  CUT.
- There mustn't be any clue to
the author name, handle or group,
  anywhere in the entry file.
If the name of the author is
  written anywhere in the entry,
  it will be disqualified without
  mercy.
- No virtual channels are allowed
in the IT format. Any different
  NNA than 'Note-Cut' will
  disqualify the entry.
- No recorded full-time-music
  samples are allowed, except
  for drum bits.
- One entry by one competitor.

Note - this is not a modeling
compo , I know that..but an animation
is highly affected by the
complexity of the models in it.
The deal here is not who gets the
best models and animates them well,
you have to make everything
yourself . tough , but that's
the way it is.

Party Products Distribution

From the last day of the party,
you'll have a week to release your
entry.
If you won't, we will release the
party version with our own DIZ.
The reason for this is to prevent
the situation which accrued in past
partys, that only few entries were
ever released.
