* Story *

You probably have guessed it already, but the U.S.S. Arizona is not a research vessel and these are not scientists on-board. Whatever the research team on ZUBBEN discovered, the earth government is going to do everything in its power to keep anyone else from knowing about it, even if it means killing everyone.
You are Gordon Freeman JR., A research assistant and a junior administrator on the ZUBBEN ground base. You give the orders to wake you up as soon as the U.S.S. Arizona enters ZUBBEN's atmosphere and then you step into the cryo chamber, not knowing that this is going to be your last peaceful sleep for a very VERY long time.
Objective: After the Arizona lands and all hell breaks loose, try to get to the communication tower which is located outside of the base perimeter. The transmitters on top of the tower should give you enough juice to call for the science ship currently orbiting ZUBBEN.

* Comments *

ZUBBEN is my second attempt at level editing (my first one was "Try, try again"). This time I tried to create more elaborate environments with more detail, although the main thing I tried here is to use the valve textures in a somewhat different way than the one they did in the game. This was in order to get the feeling of new places instead of a "Black Mesa in space" one.
I tried to stay within the recommended r-speeds, but when you take into consideration the fact that most of these recommendations were written over a year ago and with all those VOODOO cards running around, it shouldn't really be a problem.
If you have any problems with ZUBBEN or just want to comment, I'll be more than happy to hear from you and probably answer too. Have fun.

* Prefabs *

Two. well, three actually. I used a greatly simplified version of Vigialanti's imperial shuttle, and both versions of Scud's APC from the Aliens movie. In the APC's case I left it mostly untouched except for the textures which I changed so it will fit ZUBBEN's mood. Both prefabs are excellent and saved me a great deal of time. Thanks guys.
The third one is a mech from "Starsiege". I did it myself.
