OK, a lot of people were having trouble installing Storage Facility on their computers so I have created a new zip file that hopefully will ease installation woes for end-users.

Most trouble came from the fact that the original installation instructions (as in storage.txt) referred to "unzipping the pak file" to get the files into their proper game directories. Without a pak explorer, you are not able to do this. Though you won't need a pak utility to get this map to run, if you're curious as to what I'm talking about, check out QPed at www.planetquake.com/qped.

With that in mind, I present the easy-to-install version of storage.zip. Here's how to get it working:

Step 1: Unzip the contents of storage.zip to your HALF-LIFE GAME DIRECTORY.

If you used the default installation path, then you would unzip this file to C:\Sierra\Half-Life, where "C" is your drive letter.

*** NOTE ***
MAKE SURE to check "Use Folder Names" in WinZip.

Step 2: Launch Half-Life by using the storage.bat file in your "Half-Life/valve" folder
or by typing in "map storage" at Half-Life's console.

*** NOTE ***
If you use the batch file, be sure to modify it for the skill level you wish to play. The batch file will force Half-Life into skill 2 (hard) mode. Simply change the 2 in the batch file to 0 (easy) or 1 (medium).

That's it! If you followed the instructions, everything should work fine. Should you need more help, you may ask at the 3D Map Realm dicussion forums. Hop over to http://forums.gamedesign.net and follow the link to the 3DMR forums. There I should be able to answer your questions.

Thanks for supporting the Half-Life map scene and 3DMR!
