HowToPlay: Instructions on how to play back the Unreal demos, by Mr Shambler.

Introduction:
Unreal demo recording and playback is at alpha stage, and takes some effort to get working.
You must read this text and follow the instructions exactly to playback the demo.

Demo characteristics:
1. Demos playback in Chasecam or Freecam 3rd person POV spectator modes. Chasecam
automatically follows the player at a few metres distance, while the specator controls
the mouse to get the best viewing angle. Freecam is an entirely free camera mode, in
which the spectator can float freely about the map. It is recommended you use the
Chasecam mode as it makes it much easier to follow the player's path.
2. There are some strange effects while watching Unreal demos, specifically that doors,
lifts and any other moving scenery, sometimes disappear from view, as do monsters on
occasion. Sometimes some other visual bugs appear, but they are usually minor and do not
   really detract from the demo.
3. There have been reports of Unreal demos not playing back on other PCs except the PC the
demo was recorded on. Sorry if this happens to you.

Demo playback instructions:
1. Make sure you have Unreal at version 2.24 or 2.25f, and have any necessary maps installed
in c:\unreal\maps , and make sure you've played the map the demo is on.
2. Unzip this demo into c:\unreal\system
3. Start Unreal, and go to the console. Open the required map by typing "open 'mapname'",
without quote marks. It is essential to load the map first, or the demo will delay it's
playback while the map loads initially, missing the first 20-30 seconds of the demo.
4. Once you are on the map, go to the console, and type "demoplay 'demoname'", and press the
console key again so the console disappears as soon as the demo starts.
5. When the demo starts, you (as a spectator) will appear very briefly in the "Entry" map,
then appear at the start of the demo map. As soon as you appear, press your "fire"
button, and this will switch to Chasecam spectator mode. This will take you to the
player's position - this will be a position a few seconds into the demo - and the camera
will follow the player automatically. If you want to use Freecam, do not press the "fire"
button, but you'll have to follow the player manually.
6. It make take a few attempts to get used to the Chasecam and the route - persevere as this
should be an entertaining demo =).
