DCDM And TUN VisPatch
---------------------

This patch modifies all of the Dario Casali Deathmatch (DCDM) maps
(DCDM1, DCDM2_ID, DCDM3, DCDM4_ID, DCDM5A) as well as Milo Casali's
one and only Quake map, TUN.

This patch will allow for transparent water without the use of the
"r_novis 1" command (which causes a severe performance hit). This
ability requires GLQuake and the hardware required to run GLQuake.

Note: you do not need all of the maps to use this patch.

For a sneak peek, open DCDM.GIF (included in this ZIP file). A JPG
version is also included for displaying on the Web.

Ok, how can I apply ths patch to my maps?

Pick your poison! I have included two possible methods for
installing this patch; Method #1 being the easiest of the two.

When you are finished, all of the maps should have new time and
date stamps which should directly reflect the time and date that
the patch was applied. If this is true, then the maps have been
successfully patched.

Happy Gibbing!

Method #1
---------

1) Copy VISPATCH.DAT and VISPATCH.EXE from this ZIP to your QUAKE\DCDM
   folder.

2) From your QUAKE\DCDM folder, run VISPATCH.EXE

3) This process is completely automatic. You will not be prompted for
   any information.

The patch process itself should take less than 15 seconds.

Method #2
---------

1) Copy DCDM.DAT and DCDM.VIS from this ZIP to your normal VISPATCH
   INSTALL folder.

2) Make certain that DCDM.DAT is the only DAT file in this folder, and
that DCDM.VIS is the only VIS file in this folder.

3) From your VISPATCH INSTALL folder, run INSTALL.BAT.

4) This process is semi-automatic. You will be prompted for some
   required information.

The patch process itself should take less than 15 seconds.

Technical Details

These are the actual times that were required to re-VIS the original
Dario Casali Deathmatch (DCDM) maps and Milo Casali's Quake map (TUN)
at vis level 4. This was performed on a 233mhz mmx pentium overclocked
to 266mhz. Gotta' love it! :)
