Description: Owner of a sucessful construction company, Rusty Carter took on 
a job for a new face in Suburbia with a load of money. After two years of building 
and about 13 million dollars in expenses Carter had finished the grand mansion. He 
awaited payment. A black Lincoln pulled up to Rusty's office, and out stepped a large 
alligator in a dark suit holding a briefcase. Assuming it was the money he expected, 
Rusty approached the car with mind to greet the newcomer. As he neared, the gator jerked 
from his rigid stance. The briefcase flipped open, the gator's hand now held a pistol. 
He fired a single, silent shot and left Carter for dead. The bullet had only grazed his 
forehead, but it was enough to leave him unconsious and severly injured. When he was 
released from the hospital a week after admitance he returned to his office to find it 
no longer existed. Where it once stood was a pile of ash and rubble. His truck suffered the 
same fate. Searching through the ruins he retrieved the last piece of usefulness from the site- 
his nailgun. Taking it, he wandered home to find it, surprisingly, whole. Inside he bagged a
leather jacket, and a pair of shades. Behind his garage stood an old motorcycle he had been 
working on. He fired it up and headed in to the depths of Suburbia seeking out revenge. 
This newborn vigilantee will forever after be known as- Cobra.

Notes: 	In no way am I claiming this as the extent of my abilities. In other words, I can 
and will do better in the future. Cobra was the first character I've ever modeled... 
and not just for quake, I literally mean this is the first attempt at making a humanoid 3d 
model. All animations are custom made.I tried to make this model unique from others due to 
the fact that as of now this model represents the Toons of Evil mod ;). So after looking 
at a dozen other models I figured out how to achieve head animations which you'll notice in 
the ear movement (especially in the death animations). The idle animation I extended its 
length significantly to add a nice little addition. Let's see... I believe this is the first 
left-handed q3 character. And last of all, when idle he sortof holsters his weapon (originally 
this was to duplicate my concept sketch but in the end I decided to leave it as the idle 
position). Also, this model is one of 12 I am working on for the mod Toons of Evil, if you 
are interested in the project and can contribute anything of value please contact me. In 
specific we need 12 people to participate as voice actors for the characters, we have plans 
for an automatic radio system like that of UT and need each character to have its own voice.

Problems: I realize the model is pumped full of little errors, and some of them I have 
explanations for, others were merely not worth my time at the moment. First off one of the 
biggest problems I found with the model is the odd look the face recieves under different 
lighting conditions. In a bright light the faces are blended smoothly, but under most lighting 
conditions the face looks a bit strange (If you know why this is happening please contact me). 
On the idle animation the foot kindof peeks out of the pants a bit, this was an unexpected 
problem when optimizing the mesh. The last problem is in the weapon switching, originally I 
animated with our weapons and our slightly modified animation system in mind, so when porting 
to work with q3 weapons it runs into trouble (the weapon goes through his legs). And due to his 
height weapons often go through the floor.

Final Notes: More than anything releasing this model is to draw more support toward our project, not 
to flaunt my skills (or lack there of ;).
