INTRODUCTION
BatchConvert is a software utility that allows you to convert large number of images from one image format to another quickly. Using BatchConvert, in seconds, you can quickly convert & scale large number of images with a few mouse clicks.

APPLICATIONS
Typical usage of BatchConvert:
1) Create images for DVD authoring: You can make images that have a fixed dimension such as 768 x 576 to use in DVD authoring software such as DVDIt! The 3 special features of BatchConver called "Fixed Output Size", "Preserve Aspect Ratio", and "Center Image" would produce perfect images that fit your DVD without distortion.

2) Convert images for Pocket PCs and PDAs: Convert and scale down images to perfectly fit your Pocket PC or PDA screen size. This will result in much faster image loading and much smaller memory storage on your device.

3) Prepare images for applications that expect your images in certain size or aspect ratio: Example of this is a CD/DVD Libary database that has a preview feature of the CD/DVD. The preview feature screen is 200x200 pixels. However, if you want to display the cover of your DVD movie, it's a rectangle, not a square. Therefore, your DVD cover images will be stretch to fill this square box and thus will be distorted. By using BatchConvert 3 above-mentioned features, your DVD cover images will first be scaled down to 200x200, its ratio will be calculated and either the width and height will be adjusted accordingly to preserve its original aspect ratio and prevent distortion, and the resulted image will be centered either horizontally or vertically in the 200x200 nicely.
