ATTR v1.00 (ATTR100.ZIP) File Attribute Utility
-----------------------------------------------
ATTR is a utility designed to replace the ATTRIB command available in
MS-DOS. ATTR is a fully compatible superset of ATTRIB. You get all the
functionality of ATTRIB including the ability to:

  * View file attributes.
  * Change one or more file attributes.
  * Process files in subdirectories.
  * Change directory attributes

However, ATTR does more. With ATTR, you get the following new features that
the DOS ATTRIB command does not even offer:

  * Multiple filenames on the same command line.
  * The ability to exclude certain filenames from processing.
  * The ability to only process files with certain attributes.

The only real difference between ATTR and ATTRIB is the action that occurs
when ATTR or ATTRIB is invoked without any command line arguments. ATTR will
show its help screen, while ATTRIB will list the attributes of all files in
the current directory. If you miss this feature, tell me when you register
and I will make an effort to change it!

The only hardware and software requirements that ATTR needs is an IBM PC or
compatible running DOS version 2.0 or higher. In other words, ATTR will run
on any PC compatible available today.

Message Center Beta #1 (MC-BETA.ZIP) Freeware!
----------------------------------------------
Simply put, Message Center or MSGCENT is an electronic answering machine for
modems. MSGCENT will answer the phone any display a regular text file to the
caller. After the caller sees this message, he/she will have the chance to
leave a message on your computer. When they are done, a second text file
will be displayed and then the caller will be disconnected. The message is
stored in a text file with a time/date stamp. You can view these messages
at your pleasure once MSGCENT is shutdown.

What's the point of all this? Well, if you run a BBS and it breaks, you can
set up a reserve computer with a copy of MSGCENT that will tell your callers
that the board is down. Then, they can leave messages to take pity on you.
MSGCENT is just a test version to test its compatibility on all sorts of
computers. Try it out and send a bug/feature report to one of the contact
locations listed at the bottom of this file.

MSGCENT is freeware and will cost you nothing to register.
