Description             : Single player level for normal Quake using default settings.

                          My daughter,Georgina,for all her ideas and suggestions.

Base                    : New level from scratch. My first level,so I've got an excuse if you think it's crap!

Editor(s) used          : BSP 0.86b by Yahn Bernier.I love all the features it's got.

Bugs/problems           : A couple of times when testing monsters managed to get through apparently

                          solid walls. Couldn't reproduce it consistently.

                          A bit of slowdown in some areas caused by the 'first level' mistake of long views 

                          (but it's still faster than QuakeII!)



Build Time              : Too long.(every spare moment for 6 weeks)

Compile machine         : 166MMX

* Installation *



Create a folder called 'Maps' in your Quake\ID1 folder if you don't already have one.

Unzip canal.zip and place canal.bsp in this folder.( \Quake\ID1\Maps\canal.bsp )



Then either: From the DOS prompt go to your Quake folder and type:  quake +skill 2 +map canal <enter>



         or: Run Quake.

             Press the tilde key () to bring down the console.Type: skill 2 <enter> map canal <enter> <Esc>



For other difficulty levels use:  skill 0  (easy)

                                  skill 1  (normal)

                                  skill 2  (hard)

                                  skill 3  (nightmare)
