Titles : 'Temple of Osiris'
& 'pater noster qui Quakem ludet'
Filename : osiris.txt (this text file)
                          osiris.bsp (the level)
                          osiris2.bsp (a variation on the
                            original map, in a blue-green
                            texture set. These textures are
                            available on my website. Remember:
if you use these or any of my
textures, give me credit, and also
let me know if you do use them, I'd
like to know what people do with my
                            textures, too. ;-) )

Description : DM map designed for intensive 1 vs 1
action. I think It plays well. You
                            really need GLQuake, though. Don't
bother with WinQuake or (god forbid)
                            the original quake.exe. ;-)
                            The architecture & texturing is
fairly good too. The R_Speeds are
not as good as some maps, but this
map was originally intended for use
                            with GLQuake.
                            Uses some textures from that
                            indispensible egyptian texture set.
I can't remember who made them, so
if you know, please let me know.
                            Thanks.
The layout is basically 3 tiered and
has no health on the top level where
the RL is. There's also a pair of
                            teleporters which are linked
                            together.
Contains a DBSG, a RL, a GL and
a SNG. It also contains some green
                            armor.
                            BOTH BSP MAPS ARE IDENTICAL,
                            APART FROM THE TEXTURING.

Playtesters : Aardappel (aardappel@planetquake.com)

Music listened to while
creating this map : Fatboy Slim: Better Living through
Chemistry (the first album), which I
listened to several times while making
the map. Fave Track: Santa Cruz
(Track 2 on the CD) - a must have album.
Fatboy Slim: You've come a Long Way Baby
(the second F.B.S album), also listened
to many times while making the map.
Fave Track: Acid 8000 (Last track on
the CD) - Great album. Another must have
Leftfield: Rhythm & Stealth (the album)
Cool music. I seriously recommend it.
My fave tracks are 'El Cid' and 'Afrika
                            Shox (feat. Afrika Bambaataa).
Eminem: Slim Shady L.P. (one of his albums,
can't remember which.) Fave Tracks: 'Bad
Meets Evil' and 'My Fault' and 'Still
                            don't give a f***'. Eminem is a Great
rapper with his own style, which makes
                            a change from some. :-)
Note: If you want to be scared, listen
to 'My Fault' (track 11, I think)
Dr. Dre : The Chronic 2001
A Must have album for all rap music
enthusiasts & fans, and everyone else.
                            Fave Track: Big Egos.

Single Player : Play with yourself much?
Cooperative : hell no! ;-)
Deathmatch : Yes. 4 spawn points, recommended for
                            2 - 4 players, but designed mainly
                            for 1 vs 1 duels.
Difficulty Settings : none
New Sounds : none
New Graphics : most of the textures come from that
                            egyptian texture set that everyone
uses. I made the weapon spawn tiles
                            and the greeny-blue tiles everywhere.
I also made the teleporter texture
and scanned the ibis paintings in
                            from somewhere. Can't remember where,
though. It was a long time ago.
(sorry if I've broken some ancient
                            egyptian copyright law) ;-) Please
                            don't put a curse on me. ;-)
Also there's a few other new textures
                            that I made recently.

Summary of the level
====================

Symetrical DM map designed for intensive 1 vs 1 action. I think It plays well. You really need GLQuake, though. Don't bother with WinQuake or (god forbid) the original quake.exe. ;-) The architecture & texturing is fairly good too. Uses that indispensible egyptian texture set. I can't remember who made them, so if you know, please let me know. Thanks.
The layout is basically 3 tiered and has no health on the top level where the RL is. There's also a pair of teleporters which are linked together. Contains a Double-Barrelled-Shotgun, a Rocket Launcher (top floor, near centre), a Grenade Launcher (near center on middle floor) and a Super Nailgun (ground floor). It also has a green Armor opposite the GL.
