Rainbow.exe is (c)1995-1998 & created by Immortalware JTHZ
Version 4.0 - Cooler, better and more useful than version 3.0

An example of what you can do with it can be found at internet-URL:

This utility produces transient/spectral colored text using FONT-tag
for HTML-documents. Run it together with any HTML-editor.

> How does it work?

When you start Rainbow.exe, the content of the clipboard
automatically appears in the wide field. Now what you do with it:
You pick two colors, write/paste the text you want colored
(or press the "Reload" button to reload what's on the clipboard).
Then just press "Dump" and voila: HTML is in the clipboard.
Now all you have to do is paste it in any open web-document
you are working on. Much less data/work than a transparent GIF.
You can easily copy and paste hex-color-values from
and/or to your open document too!

How exactly you work best with it is up to you, just try it.
You have to create your own shortcut to the exe though.
We didn't feel like building a large install-shell around it.

> Valid HTML ?

If you choose to produce non-valid HTML (i.e. Valid HTML in the
right-mousebutton pop-up is unmarked), it only closes the
<FONT COLOR=>-tag once, at the ending, and the hex-values for
colors are without quotes "". We are aware this is not how it
should be done. However, there seemed to be no problems with it
in the most commonly used browsers we tested it with. Especially
if you don't use other text in the same document. In case you do,
re-coloring the fonttag once is enough. Needless to say, the
non-valid option can save you a tremendous amount of HTML-data.

Be aware that the text-box (which uses the clipboard-content
at startup) can take NO MORE THAN 1024 characters.

Yes, it's careware by Immortalware. Written in Borland C++ 5.02

HTML color-range ding, te gebruiken in combinatie met willekeurige
HTML-editor. Gebruikt clipboard. Geen toolkit we know of maakt
text-colorranges, het is wel spiffy en handig en veel minder data
dan een transparante GIF. Win32-EXEcutable. Deze bewaar je.
