Introduction
------------
MaduraPage[TM] 1.0 is a tool for creating a homepage based
on applet without any Java programming knowledge, and without
any HTML knowledge.

The page created by MaduraPage[TM] 1.0 can be browsed by
JDK1.0 supporting browsers, such as Netscape Navigator 3.0
or above, Internet Explorer 3.0 or above. 

Key features in the current MaduraPage[TM] 1.0 release include:
* Objects creation on a homepage with WYSWYG
* Object types are: text, image, button, rectangle, line, oval,
  animation, user defined applet.
* Various font, color, alignment of text objects
* Image mapping, image filtering effect. 
* Create animation with various effects (scrolling and moving)
* Object exact positioning, overlapping, movement
* Audio effect
* FTP upload function included


Package & System Requirement

The MaduraPage product package consists of the following:
1. MaduraPage 1.0 Program
2. Help Index
3. User's Manual
4. JRE (Java Runtime Environment ) 1.1.6 (optional).

The following system components are required:
* JDK1.1.5/JRE1.1.5 or above. 
  (JDK1.1.6/JRE1.1.6 is recommended for faster performance).
* OS: Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation 3.51, 4.0, or Windows 98.
* CPU: Pentium 90 MHz or above is recommended.
* Memory:
     Windows 95/ Windows 98: 16 MB is recommended;
     Windows NT: 32 MB is recommended.

Software Installation
---------------------
1. If you do not have JDK1.1.x or JRE1.1.x  installed, 
   you have to install the JRE package first before you can install 
   MaduraPage.  
   Go to JavaSoft website 
       http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/index.html
   to download the JRE package.
   Run the executable file, and follow the installation instruction.

2. Once you have the JDK/JRE package installed, you can install 
   MaduraPage by running the setup extractable file:
       maduradisk.exe
   Type the absolute directory where you want to install MaduraPage 
   on the user interface once it pop up, and click on the Install 
   button.  One finished the user interface window will disappear.

3. Upon successful completion of the installation process, 
   the MaduraPage can be started by running 
       madura.bat.

4. To uninstall MaduraPage, you can run the uninstall batch file, 
       uninstall.bat.
