1. INTRODUCTION
---------------

HTML Killer is a program written to convert downloaded HTML files from
the Internet to plain text files. The converted text files can then be
loaded into any usual text editor, e.g. the DOS Edit or the Windows
NotePad.
The program is very easy to use and most of the converted text files
looks pretty nice, but not always! Test it yourself and find out why
it's so excellent, or why it isn't! If you don't like HTML Killer,
then please E-mail us and tell us why not. We really want to know
what's wrong with our products and we want to make our products as
well as possible.
If you even have questions, suggestions, comments or problems with
HTML Killer, just contact us at TGK Software via E-mail. Look at the
"INFORMATION FROM THE PROGRAMMER" section at the end of this
documentation to get the E-mail address and other information from the
programmer.

3. WHAT'S NEW
-------------

V1.00:
- What's new!? Well, all is new because this is the first release of
HTML Killer. I'll add some more features later and maybe create a
Windows version. I'll try to make HTML Killer as well as possible.

V1.01:
- Some small bugs fixed
- Added support for some more HTML tags

V1.02:
- Fixed some small bugs

V1.03:
- Fixed some large bugs!!!
- Now HTML Killer will ask you if you want to enable centred text or
  not.
- Now HTML Killer will ask you before overwriting any existing file.

4. FEATURES
-----------

HTML Killer is able to do the following:
- Delete all tags (<>) from a file containing HTML code
- Translate letters like , , and (Not the irriting "å" and
  such strange words.)
- Center text
- Limit the length of the text lines

5. HOW TO USE HTML KILLER
-------------------------

HTML Killer is very easy to use. All you have to do is enter the
command 'HTMLKILL' at the DOS prompt. Then the program hopefully
starts and prompt you for a HTML file. If the file extension is
'.HTM', then you don't have to write that if you don't want to. This
is done automatically by the program. When you've written the correct
filename for the HTML file, then hit Enter to continue.
The program will now prompt you for a name for the text file that will
be created. The program suggests you to use the same name as the HTML
file, but with the extension '.TXT'. If no file extension is given,
the program gives automatically the text file the extension '.TXT'.
Hit Enter when you've written the correct text filename.
The program will now ask for the maximal number of characters you'll
allow for each line. Use the arrow keys to change this value and hit
Enter when you're ready.
The program will now ask you if you want to enable centred text or
not. Press Y or N to choose.
After this the program will start the work to convert the HTML code to
plain text. The time it takes depends on how large the HTML file is.
I'm sorry to say that HTML Killer doesn't work as fast as I would
like. Maybe I'll rewrite it in another language in the future.
When the program has finished, it'll play a little melody and exit out
to DOS. Nothing can be easier to run than HTML Killer!

You may also give HTML Killer all the information from the command
line. The valid commands are:

HTMLKILL.EXE HTMLFile TextFile Characters/Line [/NoCenter | /NC]
             [/Center | /C] [/H | /?]

HTMLFile The name of the HTML file that you want to convert.
TextFile The name of the text file that you want to create.
Characters/Line The maximal number of characters for each line.
/NoCenter | /NC Disables centred text.
/Center | /C Enables centred text. No text will be centred.
/H | /? Shows a help screen with a short summary of all
                commands.
