AutoGrep: Special Information
=============================

Because AUTOGREP doesn't currently have a configuration program, you will
need to manually adjust the parameters for file extensions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Files ending in certain extensions can be written in a special colour:
The configuration for this is done in the AUTOGREP.INI file under the

[FileColours] section.

Type in the 3letter extension to the filename (use DOS 8.3 standard) and
type the number of the colour you wish it to be drawn in. See the
following list.

0  =  Black
1  =  Dark Blue
2  =  Dark Green
3  =  Dark Cyan (Teal)
4  =  Dark Red
5 = Dark Magenta (Dark Purple)
6  =  Brown (Orange)
7  =  Light Grey
8  =  Dark Grey
9  =  Bright Blue
10 =  Bright Green
11 =  Bright Cyan (Aqua)
12 =  Bright Red
13 =  Bright Magenta (Purple)
14 =  Yellow
15 =  White

Examples:

HTM=6
DOC=6
EXE=10

------------------------------------------------------------------------

File Associations allow a program to automatically be run and open the
currently highlighted file when you press ENTER.

The configuration for this is done in the AUTOGREP.INI file under the

[Extensions] section.

Type in the 3letter extension to the filename (use DOS 8.3 standard),
then and equals, then type the full path to the program you wish to
run files of this type with.

Examples:

HTM=C:\PROGRA~1\NETSCA~1\NAVIGA~1\PROGRAM\NETSCAPE.EXE
EXE=C:\COMMAND.COM /C
BMP=C:\WINDOWS\MSPAINT.EXE

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I apologize for the inconvenience, and a configuration program will be
released as soon as it is viable.

If you would like to speed up the process of creating a configuration
program, please register the program and I will email an updated copy
as soon as it is available.
