Talking box is a tray utility based on
Microsoft Agent Technology ().
Talking box can read any text in any window: simply select the text you want to be read and copy it into clipboard then click on the taskbar icon or choose Read It! in the popup menu. Talking box will automatically start reading. In addition to this, you may use it as a talking clock (it will say date and time at predefined intervals) or as a reminder: when "alarm time" fires, Talking box will read a custom message.

New on this version: Talking box doesn't start speaking as soon as a text is selected and pasted into clipboard: user has to click on tray icon.
