		STARTMENU 2.1

		by Tom Hollander

**************************************************

StartMenu is a utility that places a small icon at
any unobtrusive part of the screen. It lets you
access all of your program manager icons and currently
running tasks.

To install StartMenu, simply copy STARTMEN.EXE and
STARTMEN.INI into a directory of your choice, and
create a progman icon for it in the StartUp group.
You also need to have VBRUN300.DLL in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM
directory.

To use StartMenu, click once on the yellow icon. Then click
once on the program group, and once on the program name to
start it. The Close button closes the StartMenu window but
keeps the program running. The [X] button quits StartMenu,
and the [_] button will minimise StartMenu. This is useful
if you want to temporarily take the icon of the screen,
since the minimised icon is not Always on Top.

You can change the location of the menu icon by editing the
xpos and ypos settings in the STARTMEN.INI file. Make sure
not to add any lines or spaces to this file, as that will
stop it from working.

Due to the strange way that Windows handles task lists,
the *TASK LIST* section may from time to time include
items which aren't really programs. To fix this, insert
the name of the item into the STARTMEN.INI file (it is
case sensitive!) and it won't appear again.
