Silv 1.1 - System Image List Viewer for Windows 95

Silv is a simple tool to display the internal Icon List
of the Windows 95 shell. The Icon List contains every
program and document icon that has once appeared in
Windows and is stored in the file "ShellIconCache" in
the Windows directory. Deleting the mentioned file when
  Windows 95 is not active - i.e. in the MS-DOS mode -
resets the contents of the list and removes unused
  icons from the computer.

__________
Using Silv

Silv consists only of the file "Silv.exe", which can be
located anywhere on your computer, and doesn't save any
ini or registry entries. Removing "Silv.exe" uninstalls
  Silv completely.

____________________________________
Why Silv does NOT work on Windows NT

This is because of the more secure architecture of
Windows NT: The System Image List is no longer a public
object to which any application has access. Each
process has its own Icon List, and it is only filled
upon request, this means, only if the owning process
  is displaying file icons.
