LMOD Filter Utility Ver 1.0 (c) 1999 Horst Schaeffer
------------------------------------------------------------------------

"LMOD" stands for "line modification" or "list modification".

If you have used the "HORST" utilities, you may know the following
programs:

NSET pipe data from STDIN into an environmental variable
LISTMOD make list of commands from input list
QECHO quote echo with control codes
LINEX extract range of lines from ASCII file

The new LMOD includes most of the functionality of these programs,
and more...

Actually I only planned to make a new NSET version, that would also
work under WINDOWS NT *). But it finally became a versatile line and
list modification tool.

Requirements: 80386 CPU or better, DOS [box].

*) WIN NT and WINDOWS 2000 do not allow manipulation of the COMMAND
environment to set variables directly (as NSET does). With LMOD you
will use the safe method of generating a SET statement, redirected to
   a temporary batch file.
