What is General Knowledge Base?

General Knowledge Base is a program which provides an opportunity 
to create and manage own knowledge base. Using General Knowledge 
Base creating knowledge base becomes quick and simple. 
The program's interface makes it easy to use and handle. 

Why would I need General Knowledge Base on my computer? 

General Knowledge Base is a useful tool for collectors, hobbyists, 
librarians, writers and other professionals.

General Knowledge Base allows Users to create knowledge base 
substantiated on any category of documents. It is an optimal tool 
for categorizing, processing, finding and describing documents, 
information and data. It allows User to keep documents systemized, 
to add notes and attachments, and to export articles into different 
file formats at any time.   

Creating, editing and deleting articles with General Knowledge 
Base is very simple, and does not require any specific knowledge. 
Every article can contain additional notes and attachments, 
which are also easy to create and manage. 

General Knowledge Base makes documents easy to find and retrieve. 
There is no need to spend time searching for files and folders on 
your computer. Using own knowledge base User can see all documents 
and information systemized in categories and topics. Powerful search 
and filtering engines makes documents easy to find just knowing essence. 

In addition, like in a usual personal information manager, 
articles and notes powered by MS Word-like rich-text tools perfectly 
suit for keeping various information such as notes, recipes, famous 
quotations, tables, pictures, Web-links, and even entire pages from 
the Internet.

General Knowledge Base contains these and many more other effective 
functions for the maintenance of knowledge base. It is a simple and 
easy to use, but also a very effective tool for keeping information 
and documents in a system and easy to reach.


Trial
================
Anyone may use this software during a test period of 30 days.
Following this test period of 30 days or less, if you wish to continue
to use General Knowledge Base, you MUST register.


Distribution
================
You may distribute the evaluation version of this software and 
documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. But you 
should not charge or requesting donations for any such copies however 
made and from distributing the software and/or documentation with 
other products without the author's written permission.

    Operating System: Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP
    CPU: 486DX 66 MHz or higher
    RAM: 32 MB (minimum)
    Hard Disk: At least 10 MB of free disk space
    

Installation
================
If you downloaded a self-extracting setup file (gkbxx.exe), just run 
the executable. If you downloaded a zip file (gkbxx.zip), extract it 
to a temporary directory, then execute SETUP.EXE.


Uninstalling the Software
================
If you wish to uninstall General Knowledge Base, follow these instructions:

    1) Click the Start menu from the taskbar and select Settings/Control Panel.
    2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs.
    3) Select General Knowledge Base from the list and click the Add/Remove button.
    4) Confirm that you want to uninstall General Knowledge Base.
