Orchard House is a DOS shell that requires a 386+ machine with 167K of
extended memory available under DOS 5 or better.  OH will release time slices to
Windows, OS2 & Desqview.

This program is designed to be simple to use yet complex of function,
combining tasks that ordinarily must be done as separate steps under
DOS into one quick operation.  OH is far more than a simple
hand holding program for DOS dummies.

If you are an experienced intuitive computer user, it is possible to
load Orchard House and just use it.  All the hot keys are described 
briefly in help screens.  The documentation is written mostly as a 
reference for specific questions and to let you know of capabilities 
you might not have suspected.

For instance, these programs have several modes of operation that can
be more useful to one sort of activity than to others.  In considering
these modes, I suspect you will find it helpful to read the "Using
Orchard House" section of OH.DOC.

    No special installation is required.  Simply unpack and execute OH.EXE.
    Orchard House is freeware.
