ExecParm - A free Shell Extension from MainSoft
	    -----------------------------------------------

** This new version works better under Windows NT 4.0 **

NB: If you have installed the previous version of ExecParm just copy
the DLL to the SHELLEXT directory while the Explorer is not running.

I have often found myself trying to execute a program from the Explorer
with some unusual command line parameters. In that case, you have to go
to the Start menu, enter the executable name and add the command line
parameters. The Explorer doesn't even have a Run command.

ExecParm is a shell extension for Windows 95 (and Windows NT 4.0)
allowing you to directly pass command line parameters to a program when
executing it from the Explorer.

HOW TO INSTALL
--------------

Installing this extension is easy. First, copy EXECPARM.DLL and
EXECPARM.INF to any directory. Open the Explorer and right-click on the
Setup Information file (EXECPARM.INF). Choose the INSTALL command. When
you're done installing , you can delete the original files. They have
been copied to your SYSTEM\SHELLEXT directory. However, you should make a
BACKUP in case you uninstall the extension and want to re-install it
later. The files will be deleted when uninstalling.

Installing under NT 4.0: the current beta version of NT 4.0 has problems
with .INF files and this installation procedure will not work under this
environment. So, you'll have to copy the files manually and to create the
relevant entries in the registry. Sorry.

USING ExecParm
--------------

Once installed, the context menu opened when you right-click a .EXE, a
.BAT or a .COM file in the Explorer will contain a new command: "Execute
With User Parameters...". This command will open a small dialog box
prompting you for the command line parameters to be passed to the
target program.

HOW TO UNINSTALL
----------------

To Uninstall, right-click on EXECPARM.INF and select the UNINSTALL command.
(NOTE: Install is not LFN-aware; it will not work if the files are copied
to a local directory with an LFN.)

Preferably, open the Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs. In the
Install/Uninstall page, select Attributes Context Menu and click on
Add/Remove.

FREEWARE
--------

to any server. It is prohibited to charge any fee for this software.
